Possibly the greatest thing I've ever heard from this band. I never thought I'd get to say that.
This track immediately blew me away. I think it's one of the few genuinely brilliant, completely ground breaking songs on the album. I listened to it in headphones as I slept and woke up to it; a refreshment I haven't felt in a while. This song alone is well worth the price of admission.
I'm a baby boomer and I often wonder how my generation would have reacted to something like this. Imagine MBV taking the stage at Woodstock and playing this song. Hey, I'm the first to admit that my generation is utterly and totally lame (with a few precious exceptions). But back then I think we would have gone ape over this! It's that good.
I'd would've liked to see Jimi Hendrix's reaction to this. lol

I'm willing to bet I've listened to this track more than anyone else on the planet so far. I have 415 listens on my ipod in the last 2 days. I basically just have the earbuds in with the song constantly playing, even when I sleep.
Having heard this a few times now, I'm always struck by how odd it sounds - and then it occurred to me, this track actually has no bassline !! How amazing is that??
Wow I never even noticed until I've read this comment, and I've been listening to this record for like two years now lol. Guess it kinda slips one's mind cuz the drums are so heavy they kind of fill up that harmonic space! There is like some weird sort of ambient bass type thing going on, fading in and out throughout the song, but God only knows what it is. Well Kevin knows too I suppose.

I'm crying. I haven't cried on another MBV soundtrack before and for some reason all of my emotions hit me. Music is such an amazing and infinite part of the universe we live in. It's like love, it transcends everything. I just appreciated all of the sounds and how it made me feel, and pictured certain moments of my life that felt incomplete and it was all just replaced by an unwaivering feeling of bliss and acceptance.

I love my wife a lot, especially since she went to see MBV with me. It was not, I'd say, her favorite show. But she toughed it out just for me. It had to be 110 Db. Super protection ear plugs FTW. Great, great show. At least to me. For her? Not so much.

So far, I think this song is my favorite song from the album (though, I can't help but be blown away by "wonder 2," and "only tomorrow" is absolutely delightful).

Loveless is definitely more consistent, but m b v is more adventurous than Loveless is, and I can't really hold that against it. Still a great album and a fine follow-up, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't prefer Loveless.
