I watch every OSB manufacturing video I can find. This is the most informative one I've found. Thank you very much for the extra information you provide!
I worked for thirteen years at the Grayling Michigan plant and four years at the West Virginia plant (startup). Best company I ever worked for in regards to people and processes! It was nice to see the video's, reminded me of home.
I was a shift electrician at Sutton for 11 years. I worked the operations schedule: 4 12 hour days, four days off, 4 12 hour nights, four days off, Rinse and Repeat! It definitely becomes your home away from home. But I enjoyed it alot!.
After several videos on how OSB is made, I still have no idea how the "orienters" function, nor what they look like. I can only assume that the center layers' fibers are perpendicular. Why the secrecy?
They can trace the sheet of OSB right back to the shift that made it, after that the employees get written up and punished. I know, I worked for a WeyCo container board plant for almost 18 years, that company is very disciplined oriented.
You make this same comment on every OSB video. You've obviously got some sort of axe to grind. Build your house out of whatever you want. OSB has worked perfectly on our house.
OSB can potentially be made into a better plywood very easily. You could potentially increase the number of layers by just adding more formers and it could match or even be better than any plywood, and cheaper.

What does a typical day for a Entry Level Production worker look like?
The video developers in Sutton West Virginia believe that the highest quality comes from XXXWide-screen.
Why have the guy on camera? Why not just show more footage of the manufacturing process? I'd rather see that.

The pronunciation is killing me! I know it’s easier to say it this way but it’s a German word.
You can really tell that he's a Salesman
As working in construction since the mid 80's, using regular plywood is best. This OSB stuff is nothing but pure garbage...
