Hi lovely crafty friends, In this video you'll see 9 smooching techniques, from the regular ink smooching + a few brand new ones. I have the times of the different techniques for you in case you want to skip parts😱😉 2.23 Double Decker Smooch 4.10 Sloppy Smooch 5.20 Reverse Smooch 7.17 Surprise Smooch 7.57 French Smooch 8.52 Folded Smooch 10.16 Smooch of Doom 11.25 Butterfly Smooch 12.28 Precision Smooch
Thanks for sending me this link. Going to try them out today. I do not have the same products as you. I am going to try using my mica sprays and crafters companion water reactive ink pads. Wish me luck! Thanks again, keep safe. X
Thank you so much Gerry, I really really enjoyed watching create all those gorgeous and stunning backgrounds for the cards. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Mariel OlimpiaKiara oh dear, can you turn on subtitles? Does that help? If you have any questions just let me know sweetie, you know I’m here to help you 💕😘
Gerry's Craft Room Are subtitles activated on RUclips? I do not know how!!! do not worry I see how you do the work, but it makes me angry not to understand you when you speak looking at the camera jejeje 😘😘😘💕💕💕
Mariel OlimpiaKiara aaah ok I was telling about the ink smooching techniques and how I asked in the community tab if viewers could come up with names for the techniques. On a table and phone you can click at the top on the little wheel and there are options for subtitles (I add english ones in almost all video’s, I don’t know if that helps) and on desktop you can click the wheel at the bottom. I hope this helps😘💖
I loved all the smooches Gerry... your videos are so clear and you explain things so well .. I am going to try some of these techniques for sure.. regards Hanny
Hello Gerry, fantastic techniques, thanks for the inspiration. I am getting my craft room ready and supplies out to try these rite away. Tfs. Crafty Hugs!
Wow Gerry these are all fabulous. I’m not really into this type of card making but after watching another of your videos I’ve given it a go and absolutely love it. Thanks so much you are brilliant x
Thank you so much for this. I love that last one with the dauber and blending tool, because I'm often not satisfied with the results using the acetate to smooch.
WOW, looks like you had fun and the smooching techniques created different effects all beautiful! The smooch of doom was a funny name, but the card you made was perfect! Thank you for sharing!
Wow, wow Gerry, simply love all of these backgrounds! Especially the black soot and espresso colours 😲 I’m weird haha. The last technique is the most controlled but they are all fabulous.. thank you so much for what you do! 💖🤗💖🌸
I'm curious about what would happen if you add some gold embossing powder to the plastic before you smoosh it on the paper, then, use the heat gun on it.
Omg!!! I LOVE THESE!!! I could spend all day just doing these..I did do some a couple of weeks ago using crayola markers,a plastic zip lock bag, a small one and water. I scribbled markers on. Sprayed with water put card stock on,flipped it and rubbed it. Whatever color that was left on each time ,I used the same card to pick it up.. it was different from rest. Had alot of fun. I did it for about 2 hours. Didn't want to stop. Have to try the saran wrap and d blending, and dabbed tools now too. Thanks for Sharing. LOVE your videos..Love the cards with simple cutouts on them, but a big impact. I think I might do some cards with color on the front and some inside too. Thank again...
Sorry I'm so late to this party, Gerry - these techniques were great but the last one was my favorite. And HOW SMART ARE YOU to cover the ink daubers with plastic wrap! Thank you!
I love all the techniques, although the smooch of doom was a little scary 😱😨 The names explained them perfectly. My favourite I think has to be the 'precision/Gerry' smooch, you're the only one I've seen do it! 💟
The thick acetate I often use is from the packaging of dies. For the flower I think you mean the one from this set: Tim Holtz Wildflower Stems 2 ldli.co/e/mjme3e [ Scrapbook.com ]
Love these, especially with the plastic wrap. It’s been called “smooshing” in classes, etc. I’d gone to, with “smooching” meaning kissing - but these inks are kissing the paper and acetate too, right? lol :D
I did a thorough search of the word used for this techniques and different ones are used, I used the English smooching because it's sort of kissing the paper😉

I'm curious about what would happen if you add some gold embossing powder to the plastic before you smoosh it on the paper, then, use the heat gun on it.
don't let me keep you then, just grab that embossing powder and give it a try😉

I love all the techniques, although the smooch of doom was a little scary 😱😨 The names explained them perfectly. My favourite I think has to be the 'precision/Gerry' smooch, you're the only one I've seen do it! 💟
Jane Starling thanks💕sorry about that, maybe I should have added a warning 😁😉I like that one too, I use it a lot😁😍
@@GerrysCraftRoom 🤣 maybe a 'mild horror' warning next time? 😉💟
Jane Starling with a little graphic and time stamp for the next technique, so you can skip the scary part😂😉💖👻
@@GerrysCraftRoom 🤣 That would be great 😨💟🤣
Jane Starling 😘
Where do you find such thick acetate? Also, who makes that large and dramatic flower die?
The thick acetate I often use is from the packaging of dies. For the flower I think you mean the one from this set: Tim Holtz Wildflower Stems 2 ldli.co/e/mjme3e [ Scrapbook.com ]
Fun techniques for random play. I think we can all use some random play right about now. :-)
Debs Pouliot thanks💖💕yes, play your heart out😁💖💕

Daphne hazell thanks, glad you loved it💖😘😁
Love these, especially with the plastic wrap. It’s been called “smooshing” in classes, etc. I’d gone to, with “smooching” meaning kissing - but these inks are kissing the paper and acetate too, right? lol :D
Beth Jeans thanks💖I’ve looked it up and there are different names for it, smooching was most appealing to me as we all looooove paper, don’t we😁😉💕
I think you mean. Smooshing???
I did a thorough search of the word used for this techniques and different ones are used, I used the English smooching because it's sort of kissing the paper😉
So many great tips! Thank you.
Thanks, you're welcome💕
