Hey yawl, You're in my birth town. Born Jan 6 1963 eureka springs Arkansas. The Passion Play has been around for as long as I've been born. Just seeing you 2 having fun there made my heart warm. Wished I was there rooting you on. Stay safe and ride your own race. God bless
Thanks for the Enduro tips! You're chainless tips almost got me onto the podium last week... but my 4th place secured me the Overall Gravity Series win 🏆
Tumbz up for the Rode wireless GO 2 and having audio on Sarah👍 you should buy a few more of these they are a game changer 😉 can’t wait to see the race 🤙
I got married in Eureka Springs. I like that town. Leatherwood and Passion Play are a lot of fun to ride. There's also good fly fishing in the area. I hope to make it out there again sometime soon.
Great stuff!!! I would had thought your favorite enduro was the RUclipsrs in Whistler, that was bananas !!!! Would love to see one of those again was super enjoyable.
When I found out you were racing this I was like, " I just want to beat bkxc." Turns out that you're fast as hell. I was hoping you took video during the race to see what lines you took. Good job to you both on riding that so fast and blind!
I practiced that day as well. I wish I had got a chance to shake your hand and say what's up. The course was super greasy on that Saturday. I also had never heard of the one-wheel crew and scene. Seemed like a bunch of Good Ol Boys.
Ooof. Yeah. I had to bail out of my first Enduro race a few stages in. The fitness just wasn't there to keep up two full days of riding - the practice was completely necessary since going in blind would have been dangerous, but not having the legs to race a full day suckeddd.
Outro was on point...good racing tips for sure. I wore and GoPro on my first race and didn’t get it set right. Footage sucked, it was distracting at the start line. I pedaling too hard to not lose any ground in a mass start and burned my legs out too quick(only 6 months into riding any kind of bike).
I really want to try an enduro because it seems like a great experience - Like rally racing, but on bikes. I'd just be too nervous to actually compete in one.
Enduro is the most chilled and fun type of MTB racing. It still requires good fitness but you need to have the bike skills too so Roadies don't just run away with it like in some XC races. I see it like a ride with your mates, you all ride to the tops at a casual pace and blast down the descents.
What fast, experienced riders often forget is that people can be too scared to let you pass. They can't find a spot to safely stop so they just keep going.
Does the point of your saddle dip down? Looks like it. What model is it? I've only found the road styled saddles with an aggressive downward angle, but I don't need that much.
I have the same sentiment when it comes to XC races. I get passed on the climbs and then I get stuck behind that same person on the fun downhill sections. I don't care if I get passed, I don't care if I come in last (which I have). Just don't ruin the few fun parts for me 😂
Enduro race stages are only downhill. With some exceptions, you're required to climb to the next stage, and the climb is not a part of the race, although there is a time limit to get to the next stage.
In the case of our local enduro's in Arkansas, the timed "downs" aren't all downhill. There are frequently level, and even slightly uphill parts within the stages, and it's not steep enough in most places that you don't have to pedal to be going as fast as the fit riders will be going. It's a grind. It's not the "downhill" experience that some perceive. It will TEST every aspect of your riding!
I mean... leave the GoPro at home unless you’re a pro, and they GoPro their pre-race to go over the footage of each stage repeatedly between pre-ride and race day. They will be at the top of a stage on race day watching the footage of their pre-ride of the stage.
Hmmm, I sure hope we get some rowdy, race-day footage, but you did suggest leaving the GoPro behind. I'm not too enthused by this underwhelming prospect.
Incorrect. Downhill races are timed on the downhill portion because that's all there is. Enduro races are timed on the downhill portion but you still have to ride the uphills too.
People who race Enduro's in Missouri and Arkansas: I expected the Ozark mountains would be a little Ozarkier than this, that Brian Kennedy's full of shit.
It's funny, I stopped watching your videos after all the whining about passing during the BCBR. Here it is almost two years later, I give it another shot and you're still whining about it.
Sarah is a great rider and addition to the channel.
Yay! Pisgah!!! Represent 🤘
I know how to dress and pack for this now thanks to you!

Enjoyed this. Nice to see the working of the track. Looking forward to the race day video. Good luck.
Can't wait to see the actual race. Good stuff!!
Nice save on the outro, totally seamless, didn't notice a thing!!
Digging Sarah’s bike because I’m also on a Stumpjumper!🤘
@bkxc good to see you found happiness beyond mtb'ing.. congrats Brian 🤙
I definitely need to visit Eureka Springs again, My favorite place to vacation that is only 4 hours south of home
Doing my second Enduro race this weekend. Get hype!
Good luck!
Where is it at?
@@becksteadmtb Green River Enduro. It's near Asheville.

I'm doing my first enduro race at the end of June and I'm super excited/nervous for it
Y'all picked a hell of a time to come to NWA. It has been nothing but cold and rainy for a month
I'll be down there in a week or so, are the trails still about like this? Hoping to ride here and at Lake Leatherwood

I really want to race an enduro, but they are far and few between in Kentucky. Guess Ill have to venture out to find one.

I see it like a ride with your mates, you all ride to the tops at a casual pace and blast down the descents.
When I was racing off road in Alaska in the 90s, the roadies tried, but did not succeed. They just didn’t have the bike handling or descending skills.
You did the Whistler ews in the rain this should be no probs for you
Enduro tip. Run EXO+ tyres. A flat like you had will ruin any aspirations you might have.
What fast, experienced riders often forget is that people can be too scared to let you pass. They can't find a spot to safely stop so they just keep going.
This is just nonsense. People who don't let faster riders past are assholes.
@@DoctorFunk18 Hey dude, be nice.

Yeah that was one thing that really used to annoy me so much in XC racing. Enduro the fun bits are all yours.
What tyre casing were you using Brian?
Is Sarah on a Stumpjumper ST?
Yep!
Only times on the downs? There must be long stretches of climbs and flats in between downhills.
Enduro race stages are only downhill. With some exceptions, you're required to climb to the next stage, and the climb is not a part of the race, although there is a time limit to get to the next stage.

So only the DH sections are timed? So it's a downhill race not an enduro race.

Obviously with a race mantra like that you would never win in NASCAR jk but true. Or for that fact in any team cycling peloton.
Who the fuck decided to name a trail "Prussian Blue"? Doesn't get much more tone deaf than that
