I'm almost exactly like this player in the video, combo of Freeze (Adrenaline) + Wasp + Defender. The ice disables enemy double damage while increasing my damage with Adrenaline. Defender makes me more resilient while I take advantage of Wasp's speed to circle the frozen enemy and drop the bomb. It's a good combo, I always manage to be among the first to place and I rarely lose a direct fight to enemies without Pulsar.

As for the Vampire Nanobots augment in another turret topic, definitely no, the game doesn't need another one mostly because lorewise only Isida makes sense to have one, but also because the prime turret that would potentially get it is Tesla and this turret already should not exist. It's the only turret that makes 0 sense in the game and breaks all the barriers imaginable. Now add Pulsar to the mix and Crisis and voilà, (unchecked by the devs, ofc) broken combo right there. Vampire Nanobots is, believe it or not, balanced since the lateral aiming for Isida outside of the Broadband Radiators is pitiful and it's not like it's difficult to throw off the Isida user or just run around it in circles exploiting that aiming weakness. With Dictator, Isida sucks so hard because of this and the awful driving unbalances of the very hull. Also, it can't deal critical hits, which admittedly doesn't seem enough of a drawback imo, but it's one of the things that balances the combo nontheless. If you ask me, there should be restrictions for using such augments, something like not being able to use Jammer/EMP/AP immunities (maybe only one of them, maybe any of the three) if you're using Vampire Nanobots or any Pulsar augment for that matter. That sounds absolutely perfect to me and a potential balancing strategy for the game rn.
The defender drone does a lot better with the Isida vampire nanobots since your armor comes not from the doubling of the base health, but from the doubling of the armor so you can proportionally get more health per heal than if you are using any other drone except Crisis, so like a hornet with defender has 5,800 HP total while hunter with trickster has 6,000 HP total, has about the same speed, but with the hornet, every heal you get a much larger proportional HP boost than if you use the medium hull. Btw, with the Isida vampire nanobots augment you can heal yourself when the enemy still hasn't finished spawning for two seconds, it doesn't damage them, but it does give you health back, so you should have done it in 2:34 since you had full Isida energy and needed more HP, you could have probably ended close to or full HP after you killed the Viking Railgun guy.

I would probably use railgun (needs a damage nerf) and hornet and maybe tesla viking too. But because of most turrets overkill damage (especially railgun) and stupid crusader and hunter/hopper damage I can't use much and too many big maps. There needs to be a damage nerf and tanki should put small and medium map battles with less battle time in matchmaking and leave big ones on pro only. But I don't use this combo since it is hard to aim at someone with isida.
even though it's fallen out of the meta a bit, hornet and railgun are my only maxed equipment as in mk7-20. I really do love them but I want to start getting into using tesla more, just unable to since it isn't max and my drones and protection drives aren't either
Breathe on Hopper and it dies, that's why it compensates with its overdrive. And like you said, light hulls are rarely seen nowadays - just look at your Hunter overdrive kills, close to zero if not zero because everyone in that battle was medium hull and heavier. My go-to is Magnum/Hunter/Crisis - Hunter because I need some sort of self-defense defense against the shorty turrets. I would gladly trade Faust and Hydra for the Magnum Vacuum Core. And unlike Taspens, I LOVE TJR and big maps - I just don't like being the Juggernaut. I love the look of Shaft on Crusader or the utility of Isida on Paladin. I need to learn how the mouse controls react so I guess I will need a new account to practice so I don't get anybody mad in battle by crashing into everything like the bots do.
Hunter's OD is better because you get 2 status effects, it has a longer range and it does less damage. Less damage is actually better in this case, because they can't do anything for a few seconds and it even delays their respawn. + it is stil enough to kill flying hoppers, which makes it even more powerful. I believe both of the overdrives are balanced, maybe hopper one can be better utilised for the jump which makes it seem better, but it's not in reality. Try isida vampire with defender drone, the self-healing rate doesn't change if you use double damage or booster drone, so you can survive even more if you use defender with it.

But then ODs like hunter, and hornet will suffer dramatically because they rely heavily on the status effects. And honestly, the status effects are fine, its the augments that inflict the status effects that are the problem. Mainly pulsar, emp, stun, and ap.
@femzi4999, yes but it hasn't always had the ability to deal damage. All hunter had before it got that ability was the status effects. And if you took that away, hunter would've just done nothing. And that damage dealing ability wouldnt be enough to make hunter a formidable opponent. The status effects are basically its main ability.
Off topic but crusader has the worst overdrive imo, they should use that almost invisible effect from tanki X, or be completely invisible from distance and near enemies it it would be the Tanki X version invisible where you still can see, you know what i mean

I switched it up each battle
My fav. Combo is and will always be Hornet/Railgun or Freeze. Those are the only turets I use + viking sometimes. Of course with crises😅😂

tanki needs to remove statics effects. The only way to counter all statics effects is by grinding the phoenix augments. And that is so long
