It's great to see Roman improving after the funk he's been in over the past few seasons. However, this nationals was really a cakewalk with Chiu and Gogolev not being present. Rakic also withdrew after a tough SP. Paradis doesn't have the minimum TES score to compete internationally at the senior level and also has no 3A or quads in his repertoire, so the Worlds berth was basically handed to Sadovsky on a silver platter this year even if he had self-imploded. Fortunately, his win here was convincing. His "fasting" from social media is a good thing for his focus as well. A Top 10 at Worlds is still going to be a huge challenge though.
@@IceAintNice let me offer you some great and free advice not everyone will agree with an opinion if you do NOT agree it would be a great idea for you to SCROLL by and stop being so nasty! you are most welcome!!!
look, i appreciate Roman. his body line is PERFECT, his skating skills are maybe best in the world, his ability to interpret music is like no other, his dance training is obvious, he is BEAUTIFUL on the ice, sometimes his positions take my breath away. but he stands at 6 feet 4 inches or 193 cm or 1.93 m. and that is simply TOO TALL for a figure skater. people like to criticize him for effing up all of his important performances like he just can't get it right as if it's some indication of character. it's not that. he's just TOO TALL for this sport, and at his height there is literally NO WAY for him to ever be a consistent jumper. so please don't blame him, blame the Canadian federation for not taking him aside a long time ago and having the cruel to be kind conversation, ie tell him that this sport is not for him
ha ha we agree and disagree on alot first of all the music is HORRIBLE dreadful noise however i do agree with you about his height and that maybe a contributing factor of his inconsistent jumps and performances we honestly havent really seen an amazing jumper in canada or a well rounded skater since Patrick Chan........sadly i think the state of canadian singles skating in particular needs some examination on where they are headed in the future!
During last decade there are handful of good skaters both males and females. In fact all 50years or more of skate watching Canada always produced/introduced great skaters single or other wise. I'm still holding my breath for someone to step right in single skating. Roman cuts gorgeous figure on ice but unfortunately he's just too big to be as good as other INT"L stars. other taller skaters are present but none are as big boned as Roman is. He slows down visibly half way and no 3x3 combo either does hurt. Who chose this music for him or allowed it ??? It's too monotonous and dead (literary as in the vacuum).
@@mikiohirata9627 You are exactly right in the last 40 or 50 years there has been a HANDFUL of good quality single skaters skate canada needs to evaluate and acess the situation in the last 40 or 50 years there should have been 2 handfulls of excellent skaters and there hasnt been and thank you for saying something about the dreadful horrible noise called music it was tragic i agree
Pray for Roman Sadovsky!
🎉Roman!! So happy to see this moment !
