@@stardustbros6768 Never, ever ever ever buy a TM AK. There are two types of AK in the world, those based on TM and those based on VFC. Most Cyma's, all LCT's and E&L's are all VFC clones, that should tell you something. The CYMA AK's that are considered not very good by most people are TM based.
Not only CYMA is good, they are actually getting better and better with time. I've recently bought a CYMA P90 and that thing has better internals than what they had a few years ago. Better piston, overall better quality cylinder and hop up unit. CYMA guns are awesome for their price.
I've got one of those. My second airsoft purchase and it's bloody lovely. (Mind you, you either love the p90 or you hate it....thing of beauty or ugly as all fu@k?)
I am no airsoft tech, however a gunsmith... Shimming makes my head spin. You need movement and loose tolerances sometimes, because every part is going to get to the least friction and stuff, and you want that. Also something gets between parts, they can move out the way and back to square one...
Negative Airsoft: has no problem taking apart and putting together a gearbox under spring pressure also Negative Airsoft: taking off a sling is a hassle big fan of your work and love watching your videos, keep it up!
Haven't played Airsoft for 11 years, yet I find myself watching the mechanical side of things I don't understand all due to the entertainment factor, delivery and camera set up of negative Airsoft. Dare say I find it calming??? Tip top.

Love airsoft ak's have been playing for the last 15 years with them, after that I tought I would try something different and bought a scorpion, love the performance hate the grip, after about one year I said what the hell let me buy an m4, stupid as I am went for the looks and bought an aps... broke down several times but by following your tips it now works like a charm, fires at 70meters no problem BUT has to have an half empty magazine or it shoots like shit
I can confirm, I own a cyma aksu74 (the wooden one), it is great internals wise, the only nitpick i have with it is 5 years ago i broke the stock off in winter time and you cant buy that little piece that connects it. that is it, the amount of abuse this gun took for me is amazing (i was there when my friends G&G m4 front said good bye while he was running).

I am happy to say that my latest work on an old tm p90 is not going to be aoe'd at all, just waiting on a m-trigger by SRSairsoft to complete it. Also yes indeed, whoever designed the trigger unit for the v3 needs a smack, worst aspect about them, which is why I am loving the v6 design more now.
just got an ak sling and I now realize how stiff the clips are. I cant open it with my fingers. I actually need to get pliers. getting them on isn't the problem. its getting them off. I've also seen a video where there was a guy unboxing ad reviewing a cyma ak and it was pretty well shimmed out of the box although not perfect. it was really snappy on a 7.4

Luke get some needle nose vise grips makes it much easier to get them off. know what else chews up wiring? Lack of space in the rear of the body for the motor wires. I always end up dremeling a channel in the back of the body so the wires dont get chewed up. at least for LCT's.

Today i broke down my mk18 gearbox, AOE was perfect and there was no play in any of the gears, there was 1 shim on the bevel gear from the factory. 25 years and it's the only gun i've ever seen with perfect shimming from factory (E&C gb)

Love your videos. I'm new to airsoft and got a G&G CM16 Raider L 2.0E. I'm don't plan on modding the gear box and just would like to know if the stock set up is a strong one or is there anything I should look out for.
Pretty tough out of the box. I would re shim it, clean and grease everything, and make sure the air seal is good. Something I do on all my guns is an o ring air nozzle. Helps improve the air seal a lot and they're usually in the $5-$10 range
I need help identifying why my CO2 ASG Beretta will not shoot the BB it just rolls out of the end of the barrel and I got it given to me the person I got it from doesn't know anything about it I open it up everything looks clean and there's no cracks there's no significant damage I know that the magazine works and it's not leaking I've used it in a different Beretta works great but when I put it in this ASG no bueno and I've been watching this channel for quite some time and I would really appreciate if you could give me some feedback on what to look for or what that could be thank you very much bye for now.
A statement of yours got in my mind while watching this vid. Why don't you like hpa setups? They seem simpler to clean/take care of and are far less prone to breaking compared to AEGs.

Is it worth it to upgrade a piston after its fucked itself? Or would you not correct AOE after it's broken or just keep it standard and replace the piston with a plastic one? Just wondering cause my VFC m4 broke and it needs a new piston among other things to work again
@@SupremacyDealer the MOSFET makes it like a hpa trigger just lots o slop but you can tighten that up. Gears an stuff govern has fast you fire from trigger pull an yes you can tune that to. Love mine as it is

Negative airsoft have you done work with version 3 gearboxes that have broken anti reversal latch before? If so can the gearbox be salvaged or is there really no choice but to get a new gearbox just because of a broken anti reversal latch?
@@ArchieKeen1 The slot in the gear box for the anti reversal latch has a broken piece. It might be not a permanent fix to just buy a new anti reversal latch that's why I asked if the gearbox can be salvaged?

I've had 2 cyma m4s that the bushings were fucked, and also they had shit airseal, but both are super easy fixes so 🤷
My first gun was CYMA M4. And after All these years it still had perfect airseal and it was on perfect condition.
