This is definitely better than what my GameStop had. I definitely agree that GameStop should have done this a long time ago...and not really sure if they even know what a true Retro Gamer wants...I guess I should applaud the effort. Maybe in a year or so they will have better inventory and a better idea on whats important to Retro gamers. :)
Most of my local stores have a pretty big section for clearance collectibles that are essentially junk, but for years they’d still throw out DS cases that increase the value of the game and is a dealbreaker for a lot of buyers.
Wow, your Gamestop Retro had more than mine. None of the older systems or carts at all. I was sad. Had Xbox, 360, ps2, Ps3, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, and just on 2 shelves.
I can’t believe they let that hit the shelves. I could see someone who doesn’t know taking it in but I can’t believe that they allowed it to hit the shelf. I wouldn’t buy any cartridge stuff from them.
It urks me seeing some non original cases or loose games and they still charge cib price. i turn away from this from any game store. yes i can find the case on ebay but thats extra money I need to spend.
Some of their prices are based on the loose disc price and you can get some scores that way but the prices on their loose DS stuff are high even for CIB prices
I don’t know how I feel about this because on one hand I like the idea of GameStop selling old games again but on the other hand this new addition kind of reeks of desperation on GameStop’s part and feels like a last ditch effort from GameStop to get customers interested. Not to come off as cynical but I honestly miss old GameStop and I will always remember the days of when big releases came out and buying them at GameStop but now that GameStop has been making some pretty baffling decisions it’s turn me off from going their to buy games due to the decisions they been making and physical media going away is another turn off.
Lol. Yeah, the Cinderella game is real. The GBA had a lot of Disney Princess games on it back then. I know about this because they were in my face most of the time when I shopped for GBA games back when they were brand new.
It's so conflicting because I have gotten good stuff from GameStop before. Got a free copy of Wii Party U as a part of one of their promotions a while back and then I got a copy of X men Origins Wolverine for $28 from one of their stores. So I have gotten good things from GameStop before. But here's the thing. GameStop can't think they can just half ass this and expect to do well when it comes to trying for their 'retro stores'. I mean come on, the obvious fake carts in their store. Just completely diving in with no forethought or planning. And now? Man. GameStop if they were smart could've had something going on if they really focused on what's really an untapped market. Because aside from retro game stores, what other stores are stocking old games? GameStop is a GAME store. Game is in the damn name yet they want to peddle everything but games. What are we actually doing?
50 dollars for a fake copy of metroid fusion? What does that mean? Are they paying me 50 dollars to take it? Cus ain't no way they charging me for it 🤣
Let’s go buy cartridges that can get for free on the Super Nintendo classic waste of money that’s GameStop job to buy these cartridges to make money from people who don’t know their free to hack

I always find funny how they say they don't have room for authentic cases but have plenty of room for the black generic gamestop cases😅

The virgin GameStop Vs. the giga chad ObjoGaming
I wouldn’t have fallen for that fake Metroid Fusion
Metroid Fusion repro cart 5€ from China for 49$..... Looks like not specialist shop

Just bought some Naruto socks and Sheldon Cooper Funko Pops from GameStop! So cool!
Nice score, dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice. GAMESTOP!
More like GameFLOP
It feels like GameStop had more merch than games before they went out of business in Sweden. Maybe that's the reason 🤷♀

They have a section at my location for retro but not to impressive at the moment but I plan on going back later to see if anything has changed
NES games should always be cheap, no exceptions.
I just got a legit metoid fusion cart with a nice label for $35. Gamestop trying to sell that obvious repro for 50 is wild

Yeah, to me this comes across as their last resort and I don’t know if they understand the retro gaming market enough to make money off of it

Somebody should rat out GameStop for selling counterfeit Metroid carts to Nintendo.
65$ for Tactics Ogre... boyyyyyy wtf. *laughs in Analogue Pocket*

How much do you wanna bet the retro consoles they sell don't actually work?
I wouldn't be surprised, since this is GameStop we're talking about😂
The last time they sold retro consoles they only checked to see if if it powered on during trade in so I’m not very confident
@@ObjoGaming Makes me wonder who sucks more. Gamestop Retro or DKOldies.
Why is this on a video loop?

Been to one and I really enjoyed, if you don’t like it then stop crying. Most genesis games are out of the box, even online, stop
gamestop will be dead and gone less than 10 years
I disagree when game stores throw their case/manuals away, it makes it better for us collectors. Less of it out there, greater the value.
