AIRSOFT WW1 MORTAR | Minenwerfer 7.58cm Build!

  • The Minenwerfer 7.58cm (Leichter Minenwerfer) is German mortar which was used in world war 1 by light artillery units and assault artillery units which were part of stormtroopers.
    I decided to test out a 40mm airsoft grenade based mortar with the inspiration from this 7.58cm light mortar, because the mechanism is very simple. The mortar turned out great and shoots surprisingly far with 2 gram firecracker rounds using Nuprol premium black gas.
    This mortar will be used in our future ww1 games with maximum effectiveness. Subscribe for more!

    A bit of local history.
    My boxing coach who lived to be 100 dad and uncle and mom ect left Romania to live in the U.S.. At the start of ww1 their home nation sent notice to all men who could return home come and fight.
    His uncle left and returned home to fight with the *Central powers* from 1914-1918 he survived. How ever just hours from the war ending he was killed.
    Also as for George my coach he was a navy vet who was on the Arizona. A few months before the attack on Pearl Harbor he left the Navy but had wanted to stay in though his wife asked him not to so he did not.
    After he left the navy he soon opened a grocery and had employed as Japanese man. *note this is before the attack* when the attack happened the man was telling George how japan will beat the U.S. and he will make George work for him etc..well George chased that dude out with a big ass knife.

    You know you are really starting to tempt me with these epic WW1 airsoft builds ..... Already got ideas running through my head for a belt fed MG-08 HMG using kar98 airsoft shell casings and an HPA system to run and cycle it ..... Just debating on how much metal i can get away with construction wise with out making the gun or mount too heavy ...

      @@Phenixtri tricky! chambering all the shells/making them to point at the barrel in secuence could be very challenging and disappointing! now im very intrigued ahahahah

    • @Phenixtri
      @Phenixtri 5 лет назад

      Not really i already have some gun smithing experience under my belt plus a manual lathe so i shouldnt have any issues milling out the dimensions for the shell casings head space in the barrel.
      I fully intend to start with the RL design and then adapt it to use airsoft shell casings as well as modifying the receiver with an HPA system to run the gun and simulate some recoil.
      Only down side is that im going to also have to hand make my own cloth ammo belts that fit the airsoft shells specifically..... Said belts were usually between 100 and 250 rounds long ....... That's going to be hell just to make 2 to 3 belts alone.

    • @britishbastard6561
      @britishbastard6561 Год назад

      @@phillipcaihoang8845 some shells have a hole in them, you just fill the hole with bbs and plug the hole, they normally come with plugs. It’s quite fast to load but the plug can be lost when fired. Where they really shine, is the fact that you can fire ANYTHING that fits in the hole out of the grenade. As long as there is a tight air seal you can fire anything from mars bars to firecrackers
