  • Update: nowadays I do most of the VW work in 3D. This video focuses mostly on plots that were drafted in 2D. One day I'll do a new one!

Today, I'll be taking a mostly 2-D lighting plot created in Vectorworks as well as a scenic model made in Sketchup into a Capture 2019 file to use for previsualization.
Apologies for the audio quality at the very beginning - it does get fixed a couple minutes in.

FYI - if you have issues with some fixtures randomly appearing in the middle of nowhere, be sure to set your VW units to decimal rather than architectural. Capture does not like fractional measurements (it looks like this is bring addressed in the future, but in the meantime it’s a constant question I get.)

Any idea why things aren't textured after importing to capture? My stageline stage, line array, and other items are all grey.
