    Make sure that lid is locked down and held down before starting the blender.

    Hi from Alaska! I'm Alaska Native and I'm tanning our Sitka black tail hides..small deers..lol. When you do the second brain dip, are you using the first solution brain and water, or you blending a new batch of brain and water? When you let the first brain ring out dry, about how long, till the blue hide part goes away? And last question, can you sand the dry raw hide in the neck and back area to thin it down a bit, on the flesh side? Thank you for being so thorough. I'll be making an iconic jacket lined with sea otter.

    Are there benefits to letting th brain dry and stretching it as you mentioned? If I only had one hide and time to do it that way.

      Drying the first braining into the hide and doing the pre-stretch is a real plus for insuring a nice soft hide after the second braining and wringing.
