Good stuff, and some great tunes in there, obviously. I still say that 'Something' (Beatles) has one of the most beautiful solos ever played on guitar.
This guy looks like a very benign jack white. Edit: Guys I just remembered this I was so hateful here this is an excellent video. I no longer agree with the comment and I myself will take the moniker of looking like a benign jack white when I struggle to play guitar. Hats off to joe
Not in their first album, Page had the dragon tele given to him by Jeff Beck in his Yardbird years. It wasn’t until someone repainted the tele without his permission which ruined the one of the pickups, that he got the 59’ Les Paul from Joe Walsh of the Eagles. But the dragon tele was played one last time in the solo for stairway on LZ IV/ Zoso
Nope almost all the songs were recorded with a Telecaster. He played with a Les Paul live cause there's too much hum and parasites noises with single coil live.
Nothing like a Les Paul. Fat, meaty, powerful tone that can cover anything you want especially with split coil pickups. I love mine in vintage sunburst!
Great video - would not have thought of Pink Floyd ABitW 2 as a Les Paul riff though - follow up, just read the LP with P90s comments, interesting as I did not know Gilmour used that on the recording. I run P90s and love them!!
I’m just learning how to do gear demonstrations on RUclips is there a way you can sync the camera footage automatically to your DAW right now I’m using a tascam audio recorder and going directly into the camera but is there a way you can do it with your DAW and camera footage?
That heartbreaker solo is... beyond everything !!
Glad to see Les Paul and Mary Ford on there.

Damn, the tone in Heartbreaker was spot on.
Man killed heartbreaker!! I mean killed all of them but heartbreaker spot on 😮🎸🎸👌👌
thank ya! tricky riff that one!
laurence baxter Not really it sounded dull compared to the studio version
he played the solo for sakes
Nahhhh . . . .no cigar, yer trippin' mate
@@bassplayer8815 Maybe because he used a Tele when recording???
When you gonna do more? Do jaguar, jazz master, Gibson es-335.
Good stuff, and some great tunes in there, obviously. I still say that 'Something' (Beatles) has one of the most beautiful solos ever played on guitar.
Escape the Matrix True!!
hell yeah
Also the bass to that song very beautiful
That Rebel Rebel tone tho.
J Grenda That young Billy with hair tho!
god bless you for putting Thin Lizzy in here
That inclusion of How High the Moon was lovely.
This guy looks like a very benign jack white.
Edit: Guys I just remembered this I was so hateful here this is an excellent video. I no longer agree with the comment and I myself will take the moniker of looking like a benign jack white when I struggle to play guitar. Hats off to joe
Flahoo ? At my house we call him "healthy Jack White"
Jack White looks like a benign Jack White
LOL I was thinking the same thing flahoo
It's a girl SFBs!
Jack beige
the tone in the heartbreaker solo is the best i've seen on youtube, it's jimmy page!
Great! And thank you for having a Les Paul riff in there.
That’s some fine work, Joe
why thank ya Patrick
Who's Joe
Joe mama
Nice selection. How High The Moon is a sweet touch.
You put on video basically what I do every time I have the house to myself and can crank the amp up. Great playing.
1:14 - And the slide becomes airborne!! LOL!
Les Paul & Mary Ford awesome Joe.
A+! ALL Right Now deserved some more love. Only the most played rock tune on US radio, on a '59 LP is all, by a man still missed.
when every riff could’ve been zeppelin
That's okay they still have 20+ good lp riffs, I'd say

How high the moon I ain’t so sure
Yup!!!!!
Nope almost all the songs were recorded with a Telecaster. He played with a Les Paul live cause there's too much hum and parasites noises with single coil live.
Great playing ... and what a (plesaant) surprise for you to include How High The Moon!
20 (Bang On A Gong) Get It On - T Rex/ Cigarettes and Alcohol - Oasis 2:52
Bowie beginning Bolan end...Them Brits were friends and gave us great rockage on Les's creation..
That was some pretty sick tone
Why thank ya :)
Loved having How High The Moon in there, but Walk This Way was actually a Strat according to Joe Perry...
Nothing like a Les Paul. Fat, meaty, powerful tone that can cover anything you want especially with split coil pickups. I love mine in vintage sunburst!
This whole list could have GnR and Led Zep and I would have been fine with it.
As advertised. You rock.
very cool, now time for sg!
damn dude great idea crossing your hands over for Magic Man why the hell didn't I ever think of that!?!?!
That was awesome! Well done!
Thanks!
I just know that Harrison use les paul while recorded something
you saved the best for last! great
Nice Joe...CCR into the LP jam with the verb...real sweet
Should have had a Clapton bluesbreaker riff in there...All your lovin
I had no idea that Another Brick had been played with a Les Paul. Always thought it was a strat. Sounded spot on!
Yup, it was played on a 1955 Goldtop
lp special
Great video - would not have thought of Pink Floyd ABitW 2 as a Les Paul riff though - follow up, just read the LP with P90s comments, interesting as I did not know Gilmour used that on the recording. I run P90s and love them!!
Exceptional as always guys!
Super cool sounds .
Excellent man!!
You're too good at these Joe
Thanks Jon :) more to come
Well done on Heartbreaker. Not an easy solo to pull off.
Best non- Andy playing yet
YOU DIDN'T DO MY FAVORITE RIFF! OH MY GOD! um, seriously, great fun, nice work.
...and I hope you're working with some others to do the whole band versions.
This was awesome, I have a Les Paul my and it's one of my favourite guitars. I'd love to see one of these for an SG as well
Awesome!, thank you
very nicely done, thank you!
"Dude! You dropped your slide,,,,"
Great stuff, thanks, r
you nailed how high the moon tone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a heads-up - "Rebel Rebel" was done on a Strat.
I’m just learning how to do gear demonstrations on RUclips is there a way you can sync the camera footage automatically to your DAW right now I’m using a tascam audio recorder and going directly into the camera but is there a way you can do it with your DAW and camera footage?
I may have imagined it but I read an article where Joe Perry said he played WtW on a Strat into an Ampeg amp.
Very well done!
Excellent work with the different types of overdrives. Which is the pedal that is below the carbon copy? Thanks
Could of filled with Bowie and Bolan riffs😂😂😍
Everyone should play a Les Paul all the time. Not sure what "Another Brick In The Wall" is dong here. That was a really good "heartbreaker" solo!
The another brick in the wall solo was recorded using a 50’s Goldtop with p90s into the studio console
Very well done! Smooth pedal work there
Bravo Joe
Played Heartbreaker as good as Jimmy himself. nice.
I love the Guy, Reverb give him more money.!!!!!
is Joe leaving his slide on the tuning peg?
More like this please!
Well that was terrific
Sounds Awesome! What pedals are you working with here?
I didn’t know Jack White was this good!
Very nice!
Nice video, I would like to know that the amplifier was used thanks bye.
This is what a music shop sounds like.. ALL DAAYYY.. -_-
All of this but played with much, MUCH less skill (at least where I come from)😂😂 but it’s all part of the charm
Fantastic!!!
Nice one Joe. Some witty changes there.
If you haven't listened to it, listen to The Rocket's cover of Oh Well. Good old Detroit rock.
Best one yet..
"Walk this Way" was recorded on a Strat, by the way.
I'd like to know the gear used for the basic tone. I guess it is a LP and a Marshall plexi but I'm not sure
Good tones - Walk This Way was recorded on a strat though.
That playing! Of course some of those songs were recorded on a LP Special
Les Paul Best Paul
Wasn’t heartbreaker done by using hammer ons and pull offs and bending the string behind the nut?
That was good!!
Another brick is a Black Strat, but besides that Heartbreaker was on point
Actually Gilmour played the solo of brick in a gold top les Paul, and the rest of the song in the black strat.
Whole lotta love
Wow, Heartbreaker was insane
Awesomeness
The guitar for the solo of another brick in the wall part 2, didn't it use P-90s?
Yep, Crazy Train/Sweet Child mine, almost same. Riff to lick.
エフェクターの置き方がガサツでかっこいい
CAn you do a review of a T-armond with heavy distortion?
VERY COOL 👏🏿
What were you using for the slap back ? Soud?
Amazing.
The 'All Right Now' riff needs work. It's one of the most misinterpreted riffs ever!
What is the slide you used, because I need.
Some Buckethead at the end there would've been nice.
not sure if that would constitute as 'classic' but yeah ;) he rocks
Y’all gave me free money tyvm
What amp(s) did he use? I see a ton in the background there.
quick with the pedals
Whole Lotta Love?!
That's a tele riff
@@prometheustv6558 nop Sr. That is actually one of the first LP songs recorded by Jimmy! Besides the sound is pure LP no question .
20 Jazzmaster licks!
So happy to hear thin lizzy
Which les paul year and model is this?
