Get ready and get set for growing, 'cause that's what your baby is doing ‘round the clock at a pretty spectacular rate during week 8. Measuring ½ to ⅔ of an inch long, roughly the size of a raspberry, much of your little one's bulk is taken up by that big head, where tons of brain-building activity is going on. Nerve cells are multiplying and connecting with each other, the beginnings of a neural network that will later transmit messages from brain to body.
But it's not just that baby brain that's bulking up, growth spurts are happening all over your baby's body. Limbs are getting stronger and longer thanks to newly developing cartilage and bones. Joint formation is also on the agenda this week, which means shoulders, elbows and knees are just around the bend. The beginnings of a neck and the upper lip are forming, and there's a sweet suggestion of a button nose. Tiny eyelids cover tiny eyes, and fingers and toes are developing, though they're still webbed.
Your baby's umbilical cord is visible now and strangely enough, the intestines are developing inside of it. Don't worry, those intestines will migrate into baby's belly soon enough.
Even with all that growing going on inside of you, you probably won't look all that different on the outside, except for those likely swelling breasts, which may already be working their way through the cup alphabet, and may be super tender to the touch. Just remember, every pregnant body grows differently, just like every baby.
I’m eight weeks tomorrow the nausea isn’t so bad. I’m extremely tired a lot and finding myself more hungry. I’m praying for a healthy safe baby and delivery. I’m due in December.

8 weeks, 2 days. Zero morning sickness, to the point where I booked in for an early viability scan today for reassurance. Strong heartbeat, 17 mm. Due date my birthday!
I've reached 13 weeks! Still no morning sickness! My first "official" ultrasound appointment is tomorrow. Wish me luck. Sending positive vibes to all women on this journey. ❤

I'm 8 weeks today, with my third baby 😊 The morning sickness is taking over my life at this stage, I'm feeling sick all day and all night long, it's been going on for weeks now. I've never experienced this much morning sickness when I was pregnant with my daughters. Is anyone else in the same boat?
UPDATE: I found out why the sickness was so bad. It's because I'm carrying twins.

I've never known it to be this bad, I'm literally feeling sick all day and all night long, it doesn't go away at all, and I really don't like moaning about it, as I've had 5 miscarriages and I'd rather be feeling sick than having no baby at all, but to be honest I am struggling with the sickness. Take care and I wish you all the best throughout your pregnancy.

The worst part is it’s not just vomiting it’s an over all nausea that lasts all day not just the morning 😭 my first month and a half I was eating like crazy now I can’t hold water down for shit
Girl, me too. Started week 7. I’ve not thrown up yet, but I literally wake up nauseous and stay that way almost all day. Nearly no desire to eat.

8 weeks today. My symptoms are actually quite mild. Queasiness here and there. Fatigue here and there. Although I often find it hard to drop a deuce and I’m bloated like 24/7.
Sounds like me. I'm 8 weeks. Most of my queasiness comes at night and I've got ALOT of gas and bloating. Sickness hasn't been bad for the most part, but is caused if I let certain things. My diet is limited. Trying to keep up my exercising but I'm more fatigued, especially at night.
