@@TechCheckUK 3 things you should change is the 5500, motherboard and the ram. The 6600 is an x8 4.0 GPU and it does lose a disturbing amount of performance by being run on Pcie 3.0, by getting a 3600, you get 4.0 support and slightly more CPU performance for 10-15£ cheaper. Also by getting a 3600, you can get the AsRock B450M/Ac which is way cheaper than the gigabyte B550M, has wifi and a better Vrm that will handle upgrades better. Lastly Vengeance DDR4 doesn’t have the greatest reliability record and the T-Force Vulcan kits are cheaper and better. You can also save another 10£ by getting the A550BN instead of the A650BN
@82_930 agreed on everything you said from a statistical POV I have used all these parts mentioned 100s of times. Issue being 3600x here locally (none available) also wanted new not used. @@TechCheckUK actually, to update this, I checked out the complete systems at my local CeX stores and grabbed myself what I personally think is an insane deal. i5-10400F, GTX 2060 6GB with 16gb RAM, a 500GB SSD and a really nice windowed cooler master case with 4 RGB fans. Motherboard seemed pretty high end too, even with some RGB. Obviously it's a used system and I haven't given it a full test yet since it's a secret Christmas present for my brother and I have to wait til he's out the house to do so, but I gave it a quick boot and it turned on without issue and the fans were dead silent whilst spinning so I know it runs and have a 2 year warranty on the system too. All this cost me £270. Cex also sell 2TB barracuda HDDs for £30, so I may buy from there too and I personally think that's a hell of a good value system for bang on £300. Honestly jealous of him now coz he's ended up with a nicer pc than my own 😂
Similar to my pc, i got a 2nd hand case and psu for 60quid, 2nd hand rog strix b450m and 3700x for 100, 2nd hand 16gb corsair vengeance for 20quid and bought myself a new 6650xt for 220 and 1tb nvme ssd for 50quid so all in got a decent gaming pc for 450quid, i only play dayz on it and and it runs great at 1440p so im happy
