Full version of shorter video posted earlier filmed by Aníta Ólöf Jónsdóttir, at the ongoing volcano in Iceland, that is currently filling up the two valleys (Geldingadalir and Meradalir) of the mountain Fagradalsfjall.

That didn't even look real to me at first. People need to be more cautious around the edge of the lava flow, who knows if it's cooled over enough.
I would start a sculpture competition here. Making figures out of hot lava. This is ideal place for it.
As long as there is no EXPLOSION, the lava flows and boiling & shooting magma are beautiful!!!
There was no floor in the video, only "ground"!

Seeing those large sheets of lava, cool and reheat is amazing. Myself, I have a sulfur allergy and can smell it in Indiana.
fwiw: the floor is lava is a childs game where you move from one piece of furniture to the other as if the floor would burn your feet.
Then you have Iceland, where you can play the "professional league" version of the game!
You know what I haven't seen in all these videos of this volcano is volcanologists doing science stuff with the lava. They must be there, right?
Ofcourse they are, before the new fissures opened they had a tent nearby the first volcano ( BOB ) the new fissure opened very, very close to the tent, so they had to be evacuated immediatly ! Most of the people you see in the live streams are security people and/or scientists.

Is the at Meradalir valley? That's amazing. Also noticed snapshot of what looks to be a (new?) volcano vent? Stay SAFE! and keep to the high ground!
Just for curiosity, dalir is plural of dalur and dalur means valley. Meri means adult female horse and as a substantiv it changes form when connected to another word. So Meradalur means the Vally of mares or "female horses" Quite some cultur historical names over there.

Is the crust sinking or melting?
It is sinking and/or being overridden by less dense molten lava. I didn't even know this was called 'foundering' until I started paying close attention to the lava lake reforming at Kilauea.

Why does it do that?
The cool crust is denser than the hot liquid lava. It got too heavy and was not strong enough to hold up, so it sank.
