I would like to say THANK YOU to the people of Iceland for sharing this event with the rest of the world. This thing has truly been amazing to watch. What a wonderful age in which we live to be able to witness this.
Blasted raindrops!! Don't they know that lens is capturing something important?!! Thanks so much for that 'speed-up' to transition into that next fountaining, too. Most excellent video!
Pretty cool. This eruption has had so many changes. It keeps me coming back daily to view the Earth & imagine its transformation over time. Thanx for your contribution to my vision. 🌏🌋🔥
One reason might be that they are bot accounts trying to "act human". If they never vote, or only one way, they'd be discovered. So they vote randomly.
That's a good question... The only explanation i can think of is that there are people around the world (Guatemala, Indonesia, etc) right now who are also experiencing volcanic activity, but instead of being able to cash-in on it, (as Iceland is so-far fortunate enough to be able to do) they are actually losing their homes and their farms and their means of sustenance... Maybe it's them who "dislike" this video?
Maybe because of the misleading title?! This is NOT Ultra HD quality, but just the full HD stream from the (now second!) MBL streaming camera that got killed by BOB family!
@@ranger2316 Sadly, most people that dislike random videos do it only to satiate their existence on a public platform. Clicking a dislike instead of a like is just a reflection of their inner self making the choice for them.
Usually my city has an amazing fireworks display in July. We do it over the river and it's gorgeous. The next time they do it it's going to look so boring compared to watching a month and a half of volcano explosions!
Soo much heat even the Infrared filters on our modern camera sensors cant keep it all out! I actually kinda like the light purple ‘glow’ captured during the larger sprays
That looked like semi-molten rock collapsing. The giant splatter cone seems to be recycling itself. Any concern for potential caldera formation? This thing is tiny compared to potential.
What's crazy about this, is watch the time at the bottom left. This is in real time, for a minute I thought it was in slow motion. But that lava is shooting up THAT high that it makes it almost appear like a slow motion video
Almost a months behind updates on Fagradalsfjäll (only watched the first smaller eruptions untill now), things have certainly developed! A new Erta Ale? :-) Or a new dangerous vulcano stil lin it's birth?
Thank you. One does not get to see such beauty everyday, even when one may live surrounded by volcanoes. Mt. Rainier best stay quiet! And St Helens, and Adams, Baker and whatever else may erupt. :-)
@@-.-. Your inability to control the weather not withstanding (😂🤣🤪😜) thank you for the excellent photography on a remarkable, geological phenomenon. It’s not often we get to see INSIDE a volcano 🌋 to see shooting lava and the inner walls.
Yes, of course... "Volcano... Iceland... Lava... Castration Valley... Once every 800 years... everyone is fine... tourists are welcome" (let's face it, even the most extraordinary things can become dull after a while) 🇮🇸🌋😴
I meant that last comment in a nice/sarcastic way... I really honestly wish I could visit Iceland and have a look for myself... I'm certainly not criticizing Iceland for having "boring volcanos"; (I also live in a geothermally-active place, and there is nothing "dull" about it!)... Lol, can you imagine if there was an awards-ceremony/show for volcanos? (The "Pele Awards", perhaps?) I think "Fagradalsfjal" could win a prize in quite a few categories!
2 minutes in for wall fall. So I see the alkaline volcano has very light and kinda cool temperature Lava. I would say around 1,500 c to 1,800 c yes thats cool it can reach 2,500 c but thats a different volcano.
The explosions of this fire geyser will get larger as more chunks of the cone fall in it this is only going to get worse I suggest no one go out there much closer then 2 mile radius to be honest
There is a hill to the south of this vent which has been referred to as Theatre Hill for that is where most of the folk go to watch the eruption. It is about 750 feet away from this vent.
Speeding up to 5x during the collapse is cheating. I watched it when it actually happened and it was just as dramatic without the fake speedup effects. Maybe that explains the thumbs down you're getting.
Oh, I love the original footage as well. I can upload it in full length for you without any speedup effects. That's my favourite way of watching it but most people don't have 8 minutes to spare for every crater collapse. I can see drastic drop in viewer retention during long-ish dull-ish parts, that are nevertheless interesting to have in context, so I fast-forward those parts where little is happening, and it keeps most viewers interested. Also, I don't know why you think it's cheating? Cheating for more dramatic effects? If you would have looked carefully, you can see that it's playing at 1x speed during the big collapse. Slightly sped up in the long aftermath where it's just sloooowly leaking down. Any constructive inputs or requests always appreciated, but blind swings? Eh, put the keyboard away

Because it is not "up-close"? Because collapsing takes place 2 minutes after the beginning of the video?
Nice vortex formation there... from the sudden release of heat.
7 people actually disliked this video? Geeze, do they have to sacrifice a virgin or something?
God is in control and this is AMAZING look at the small powerful hand of God. All 🌋 ate waking, all and there is a lot

i was not expecting the back wall to be made up of mostly semi-liquid lava
rock is an incredible insulator
And gas.
That explains why at night the walls glow.
That's one giant hot coal!
This is exactly how i imagine the early days of Earth.
Funny, I was thinking that this reminds me of what I think the end of the Earth will look like.
Gives a whole new meaning to Recycling.
The mini tornado after it was really cool too.
Yes
The incandescence of that cone really gives you a better idea of the sheer heat.
The power is staggering.
Great editing! Truly awesome... glad you recorded it.

OK...that was cool, timing is everything!
The raw energy from this fissure is awesome.
Thanks for sharing, incredible ! I like the clip included both eruptions before and after.
Wow, had to replay that, awsome
Soo much heat even the Infrared filters on our modern camera sensors cant keep it all out! I actually kinda like the light purple ‘glow’ captured during the larger sprays
thank you so much, great footage
Gorgeously fiery 🌋
Nice catch. Dramatic fast flow lava, too.
Amazing footage! Thank you for sharing.

Isn't that a cinder cone, not a crater?
Those big wall slides drop a lot of material down in the hole but it gets cleared out with the next eruption. Wow
Brilliant and THANK YOU FROM SOUTH AFRICA ;-)
Aight 10/10 best thing i seen in 2021
Magnifique 👍
So that’s why you don’t throw rocks into volcanoes kiddies...! 🌋
Amazing, just wish there was sound.
Thanks for allowing your lens to get wet. That would have been hard. Very good clip. Thanks again.
Great footage! Thanks for sharing! Incredible to see wall collapsing. Stay safe! 🙏
That was a really cool smoke tornado!!!
Change the title from Crater to Cone, as a crater is an impact sight, whereas a cone is a projection sight.

Glad you enjoyed it 🤗
Fantastic footage, brilliant. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🌋🌋
How magnificent!
Most Frustrating Raindrops ever! Up Close (Ultra HD)

Mt. Lassen & Mt. Shasta!
So COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Magnifique! (Curses on those raindrops/snowflakes!)
The sides are just made out of lightweight lava and it makes sense that they will collapse from time to time.
how many times will you be showing this !
2:02 the part that collapsed created a dust whirlwind
Hi I found this comment "Does anyone else think it's strange that volcanoes all over the world are erupting at basically the same time????"
That back wall keeps building up and dropping. When it drops, a huge geyser occurs. I wonder if it'll ever "stick".
Anakin Skywalker vs. Obi wan KENOBI cosplayers would have a field day here!!!!
Not sure I'd want the high ground here.........
Awesome footage.
Bonus: with raindrops obscuring the lens in Ultra HD!
Hahah! Not much I could do about that

Had to do so house cleaning . Push all that cold stuff out the front door .
You should pair this with the feed from the Geldingadalir ruv camera while it is still available.
Very cool
WoW !! Impressive !!
How much under pressure is Island at the present time?
Very strong tornado created, probably about an F4 judging from the size.
And someday, in tens of thousand of years, this will be like Crater Lake in Oregon.
my bouls after a bowl of spicy chilly

Scroll to 2 mins, A small bit of the rim slides down...
there also was a small tornado
Imagine if we could separate the material like metals from an eruption
Mountain is melting
impactante¡
WOW 😯
someone should have dried the chips before they threw them in!
It's just HD 1080p not Ultra HD
Wonder how much GOLD is in there..bmp
