It is so therapeutic helping my bearded dragon shed, for both him & myself. Still not quite as much as the other week when my corn snake started to shed during the crazy UK heatwave, so I bathed him in Shed Ease, then he just slithered out, still in his bath, while I held his old skin for him to slowly escape from. That was one of the best feelings ever! 😊
@@karenjones1 interesting story, and I can promise on any one and thing I hold dear, is true. This evening my pre-shed corn snake, I decided to give him a bath to help when he was ready to shed. I did that, he decided to do his usual.....evacuation, that I have somehow trained him to do in the bath water instead of his enclosure. 🤷 Took him out & dried him, then decided to let him stay out in a pouch thing I've got for my bearded dragon. Anyway, a couple of hours later, I decided to get him back in his enclosure, as he seemed to be resting. As I went into the pouch, the movement I'd felt earlier was him starting his shed in the pouch. He was more than halfway through, so I just gently held the shed and he finished moving out of it. 😊 I so wish I was joking on this. As you said, it is as therapeutic as removing sunburnt skin, and if they're lubricated enough, to answer an earlier query, just as easy & painless as removing a glove from your own hand. As the first couple of comments say though, definitely be 110% sure they're ready to shed before assisting, but with time you know that animal so well, you could easily narrow it down to within a 24 hour time frame, if not much less. 🙂

That was an impressive whole body shed!!! I've had sections on our beardies come off in bigger pieces, but never the whole body. Can't have any small animals anymore, my dog's a confirmed mouse killer, but I used to have a bearded dragon and I was reminded of those times I watched him scratch against the rocks in his terrarium, the times I'd gently scratch his back to soothe the itching, the warm baths, when I'd hold him in my lap as I felt the irresistible urge to gently help peel off the shed and how he'd go from frantically itchy to acting much calmer afterwards even if there were still some pieces of shed left not yet ready to come off. I’ll rewatch it, for sure. 😂🤣😂
Huh, I wasn't sure what to expect when I clicked on this video but nostalgia was not what I expected.
He was such a sweet marshmallow of a beardie. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.🥲
aww ty!
He did not want to be there 😂😅😅😂
Bearded dragon: Oh yes, that feels great
Best shedding video I have seen 👍👍
Mongo is loooooving that. So are we! Thank you ♥️♥️♥️♥️
You are so welcome
Six minutes of my life, well spent 🙂
Very cool 😎! I’m most impressed with your skill, dedication, and attention to detail. You also exhibit incredible patience.
Thank you so much 😀
Can you use water to get the shed off quickly? 🤔
My beardy is over a year & a half & I've never had to help him shed. Is it bc I mist him daily & also have a water dish in his tank 🤔 or does not every dragon shed nicely? Just curious
I didn't realize even the tympanic membrane sheds :O Fascinating!
Looks like me having my sunburn peeled off. Pure heaven.
lol yes!
Sometimes, it seems like the coloring or pattern comes off with the shed. Does it return eventually?
I love how it trusts you!
He is such a good boy, he will feel much better with that off. Excellent job in removing the shed skin.😊
The ones from the belly and back… So f****** satisfying
CRISPY !!!!!
very!
This was satisfying to watch for some reason ❤😂
I wonder how sharp are the spikes on their underbelly are, like are they sharp to the touch or not?
I havw a beardie!! They have very soft bellies, and there arent any spikes there, the spikes on the sides hurt though.
Nice! The only time I get to shed like that is when I've been in the sun too long. XD
He looks so bright a fresh afterwards. Especially on the tail.
Thank You
How is it possible that i JUST discover this kind of videos. The time i've lost...
Pure satisfaction.
Can't help but think he's thinking "thank goodness for that!"
