- This heavily themed drop tower has four different drop sequences that are used randomly for optimum re-rideability. Cables attached to the bottom of the elevator car pull it down at a speed slightly faster than what a normal gravity free-fall tower has in order to give it a better weightless effect.

0:51 the complete silence and darkness follwoed by moving upward with that music is one of the most suspenseful experiences ever!
When I rode this, I did not expect to shoot up. My stomach went into my mouth and then fell 13 stories, wonderful. Still very fun.

Gotta love that long drop. I literally went on it yesterday, and no regrets whatsoever. (if the line wasn’t so long, we would’ve done it twice) Definitely do this if you have the chance!

Interesting that the camera’s picking up things that your eyes are normally fooled out of seeing, like reflections off the wall of stars.

I went to this ride 3 weeks ago, and I only had to do the long line early in the morning. But when we were about to leave at night almost at closing time, I got to ride this again for about 5 or 6 times. No waiting time whatsoever 😂. The Aerosmith ride is almost a waste of 2 hours waiting time and leaves you a bad headache 😂.

I remember this ride being so much longer when i went on it nearly 20 years ago ! God i want the chance to go back to Florida

when i first went into this i was 12 and expected something weaker since i didn’t go to those theme parks that much because im not from the us, almost fainted and got out crying and trembling with some little kids laughing at me lmao, went back this year and still find it thrilling…
I remember this shit launching me from my seat.
my brother & i r twins & he rode it when we were seven in 2002. we have a lake house in kentucky & went with our friends from down there. our friend jim rode it with him & when they got off our dad said he was pale as a ghost & mustve been in shock. i flew back with jim last month on his plane & had just as much fun as i did in 2002! i went 2 toy story land & met woody & jessie! i met her first, hugged her & she walked me 2 woody!!! hes my favorite like andy. i was ecstatic, gave him the biggest damn hug ever! told him “hey woody! hey partner!” i wore one of my toy story shirts & they pointed at themselves. i didnt get an autograph book this time so they signed a paper & i framed it. the next day i went back & rode slinky! i dont like roller coasters but he looked like a more gentle one & i thought id give him a try. my dad & i were in the last car. i said “omg” on the first drop & “oh god” at the first swerve but got used 2 it. wheezy didnt move at the end & neither did his mouth. the animatronics mustve been broken. when slink told us “so long pals” at the end i told him “so long slink.” i definitely wanna go back sometime & maybe i’ll ride him again. i saw buzz when we got off but didnt meet him & shouldve. i will when i go back
Sooo much better like this than the Guardians of the galaxy themed one in disneyland.

I understand that the main part of the ride is a shot-and-drop tower, but how did it connect to the dark ride before and after the tower? Very interesting to watch though!
I had no idea it was a dark ride as well
The ride vehicles are actually wire-guided AGVs.

Its meant to be a escape path for air to flow though when the elevator drops. These 4K videos make things look bright but in real life you can hardly see it.

I rode it as the last group, it was incredible, also my first time but sadly the preshow tv was off/ not running
