- We are very surprised at how much we loved our time in Sibiu! This charming Transylvanian town is one of our favorite places that we have visited so far. We spent an amazing day exploring Sibiu--here's what we did:
- Citadel Park
- Breakfast at The Refresh
- Explore Piatta Mare
- Check out the Lutheran Cathedral of Saint Mary
- Street food for lunch
- Spent some time working in Hug a Mug Coffee Shop
- Soft serve ice cream :)

Fun fact : Sibiu is the city with the fastest internet in the Western World. It's on the 4 th place in the world after Tokyo , Hong Kong and Seul.
WOW! That's so interesting...trying to remember using the internet while we were there and if we remember it being especially fast.
That's a joke, right?😂 Who made this statistic? You? Have you ever left Sibiu?

Another wonderful travel video. Sibiu looks so rich with history. Congrats on 1k subs. well done!
Thanks so much! It was such a cute city and we're super stoked to reach this milestone :)
Sighisoara, Cluj Napoca and Oradea are also very beautiful city! Thanks for your wonderful video!😊❤
We went to Cluj and Oradea and loved them! The videos will be coming out this Thursday and next Monday so make sure to hit that subscribe button :) Thank you for watching!
Which would be the top 3 from your point of view ( Jack and Gab) among Oradea, Sibiu & Cluj ?
Proud of my hometown! Thanks for visiting! 👍
Im so happy and proud you like this town. I live there, and its warming my heart to watch people telling their point of view on romania ♥️
I’m crying right now because I miss my hometown so much 😭
It's such a gorgeous city!!
Jack and Gab Explore It was built by germans and hungarians and not romanians. They should be proud of nothing. Not their work.If they want to be proud of something you should go to Moldovia or Wallachia, if you can be proud of it.Everything beautiful in Transilvanya is not romanian at all.
The same feeling Andreea!
@@SKARA101 Just because Hungarians and Germans occupied the place, doesn't mean Romanians just evaporated. They were still there and got their contributions. Personally, I live in Sibiu and I'm so grateful that Hungarians/Germans came and did what they did, because Wallachia and Moldova don't even compare to the beauty of Transilvania, but since Romania's government is so corrupt, it's a shame for all the beautiful things here. It's so sad I just wanna pack my stuff and leave.
Saecsee Ye? Romania does not deserve Transilvania at all. They feel entitled to that place, racists and pulling a face from a horror movie when saying that you believe in other confession, different to orthodoxy.
Nice video! Scufita Rosie aka Little Red Riding Hood. :)
Well then Little Red Riding Hood makes some damn good pizza! :) Thanks for watching!
my home town.... always beautiful ..but so many other things to do there... you have Astra Museum, Transfagarasn Road very close to Sibiu... the villages around Sibiu very rich in pastoral culture...you missed alot... an during summer you get short showers sometime.... but mostly is hot...
Yeah just came back from Sibiu. Truly beautiful city!
Astra Museum is abso-freakin'lutely awesome, in fact an open air Village Museum stretching over a very big surface.. And the atmosphere was simply fabulous.. simply loved it!!!
I've been there on a 3-day trip with my students and the memories have been stickin' with me since then.
SIBIU is definitely worth visiting!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience of Sibiu. I am an american exploring Sibiu. Also the guided tours only operate once daily at 10 o'clock Sibiu time.

Because Germans (Saxons) built Hermanstadt/Nagyszeben. Anywhere you walked you can find the Saxon and Hungarian heritage in Transylvania. In Hermanstadt you find the Saxon culture especially, but there are much Saxon heritage around Hermanstadt and Kronstadt/Brassó too
I live in Sibiu and it s a very cultural city, there s a festival or something almost every week. You made a great video tho, congrats !!🤗

Hi i live in sibiu is a beautiful city.
This year had the summer with the most rain ever in this region. So yeah, it's not normal to rain like that...
I’ll be there on a Saturday night in June.. any recommendations for how spend my time
Legenda spune ca tot Sibiul lasă un comm și da și eu sunt din Sibiu💪😁👌. And I'm really glad to see other people like our city 🏙 👍😊😊💯
In general, in Europe the closer you are to the Atlantic Ocean, the more it is going to rain. In Eastern Europe, you’d actually have plenty of sun and not that much rain. But winters can be pretty harsh so you can actually expect some snow. Romania being more in the East (than in the West) has plenty of sunny days. But yeah, Transylvania is rather rainy as it is closer to the Atlantic Ocean (even tho it might sound funny as it is thousands of km away from it). The Carpathians form a natural barrier to the rain clouds from the West and they can’t really get into the Eastern part and to some extent into Southern Romania.
This is very interesting--there was definitely plenty of sun while we were there but also a surprising amount of rain. Thanks for letting us know!
@@JackandGabExplore Last 2 years had pretty rainy summers. Probably climate changing. In late august it was actually pretty dry this year :)
Cheers and welcome back when one of the many festivals are here (theater, cinema, ethnic, etc).

My city i LOVE it
min 11:30 yeah, during the summer it's either hot AF, or raining... no middle ground.... oh, or both, on the same day...
Yayyy România Love sibiu
There's actually not a lot of rain in Transilvania but for some weird reason this summer was extremely rainy. My mom said it's never been this wat in like 35 years so I am also curious why.Usually we have nice sunny days in the summer.
Uh oh sounds like global warming! We loved it anyways the rain was nice because it cooled everything off :)
Yeah,it's probably global warming.i'm truly happy you liked it.
hi. i recomand you (i dont know if you allready did ) to talk with some people from the cities you are visiting because you didnt see much from sibiu. i live in sibiu and i could have told you some really cool places. Hello! Cool vlog. May you please tell, which a camera you are using for video?
Hi! Here's all the equipment we use to make our videos:
jackandgabexplore.com/our-equipment/
8:01 Scufita Rosie ... phonetically like: SKOOFEETZA ROSHIE .. (lSkoofeetzza... like Pizza) and its meaning is "The Red Cap" - reffers to Red Hood from the story Little Red Riding Hood. (i've been at Sibiu i think 5 times now, and yes I ordered myself a Langosi - some donought , oval-shaped and then some ice-cream and at night I went to a good restaurant , in the Main Squar (Piata Mare). You so funny guys.. love your videos. (Btw, I am romanian native, living in Bucharest, capital city of Romania). Yes, it rains sometimes , now often in the last 2 years

Nagyszeben!
Hermannstadt*
Spottdro55el
Nagyszeben predates Hermannstadt.
Hungarians were in Transylvania for over 300 yrs. before the Hungarian kings invited the Saxon colonists.
Saxons built over Nagyszeben and turned it into a Saxon town.
Nevertheless it was still in the kingdom of Hungary and considered a Hungarian town.
Learn factual history...you’re a descendent of colonists whom the Hungarian kings invited. Be grateful to us or go back to Germany, if they’d have you.
Spottdro55el
Now under Bucharest Nagyszeben has become a gypsy town.
Good job Romanians!
@@dezszatmari5932 Thanks, you proved me you are more stupid than Romanians. Your ancestors were basically the same like gypsyes lol. Hungarians lived in tents and you tell me Saxons came after and "stole" 'nagyszeben'? :))))

Spottdro55el
Stupid kraut, so you’re saying Saxons predate Hungarians in Transylvania.... now that’s hilarious.
And Nagyszeben, your Hermannstadt was built on empty ground....which is even more hilarious.
