    In 98 I worked for Rougeau in Montreal and he introduced me to Russo. I worked a spot before Raw and briefly spoke to Mr Vince Russo. He was extremely busy doing his thing but made it seem like he made it a point to reach out and talk to me. I had to retire shortly after but big ups to you Mr. Russo

    Vince Russo talking about undeserving people getting promoted because of politics and then not being able to perform is very real and applicable to our lives. Where I work we have people in management positions who know less than the people on their teams who have no rank. Then the people who should have been promoted end up doing the legwork without the pay or title.

    Russo brought some viewers back watching wcw again. But then in 00 that ship just sank.

      Teddy Love's Clare Russo was the offensive coordinator for a red hot roster in 98-99 WWF. Without McMahon and others to filter his play calling, and a roster that was spoiled by Bischoff, Russo never stop a chance down south.

    Wrestling people love talking about "if this were a shoot then..." and how wrestling should be presented as if it were real but bitched endlessly when the guy that could legit kick everyone's ass in the locker room (Tank Abbot) wins the title then they are still crying.

    I wonder who's running this channel now if anyone? I imagine Matt Koon had the reigns before. I would really like to see Truth With Consequences come back with Russo and Koon but probably not gonna happen.

    Russo hated wrestling matches and never should've been in the wrestling business.

      Thats not true. He liked the storylines and larger than life characters. If the match told a good story he liked it. Also the actual wrestling match draws the least amount ratings. The segments and storys actually draw higher ratings and numbers thats just facts.

      @@richardhoffman527 Nah, that depends on the match and the promos. One of the few good things WCW ever did was the Hogan vs Goldberg match on Nitro that beat Raw in the ratings that night. One of the worst things WCW did was the Finger Poke of Doom and it pissed people off so much because they expected a match and the ratings slowly went down after that. On the other hand I don't even remember any promo or storyline WCW did after 1998, maybe except for that New Blood stuff which they totally f-ed up

    Its sad how vince russo takes no responsibility for destroying the wcw product.. Wcw was built on being a sports based wrestling product and he turned it into a cheap jerry Springer wwe copy

    • @GLPitt1
      @GLPitt1 5 лет назад +3

      It was losing $ being sports based. Bischoff tried to make it more of a soap opera for 18-35 year old dudes. Russo pushed things further towards Jerry Springer type shit in WWF and then tried it again in WCW. He didn't kill WCW, the company was never well run ever.

    • @jtymon24
      @jtymon24 5 лет назад

      @@GLPitt1 i agree regardless of russo the company was mismanaged and going down i dont debate that. However russo did add fuel to the fire he took a semi realistic sports product and turned it into a complete joke which i believe it could never rebound from.. Come on making oklamhoma the cruiser weight champion and putting the championship on himself

      @@jtymon24 - Russo was an amazing Sports Entertainment writer, but he was an awful fit for WCW. It's not his fault that they hired him or that he did "his" thing there, but WCW was always Southern Rasslin' and the majority of it's fans wanted it that way. As much as Bischoff, etc wanted it to lose it's Southern image, that is what it was. The whole things is 100% on TBS. You don't hire Jackson Pollock to paint the Sistine Chapel and then complain that is's just paint splattered all over the place at random, and you don't hire Vince Russo if you don't want the same style that he did in WWF.

    • @jtymon24
      @jtymon24 5 лет назад +3

      @@handsolo1209 i disagree an amazing writer wouldnt book himself to win the world title and completely devalue the product. Russo did have some good ideas and is unfairly blamed for many things he didnt do. However an amazing writer tells amazing stories and russo only booked for shock value. If he were a great writer he would have been able to write effective tv for the southern wrastlers

    • @handsolo1209

      @@jtymon24 - Nothing that Russo did would devalue a Sports Entertainment product, so I do not know what you are prattling on about. Russo + WWF = Good. Russo + WCW = Not good.
