I have anklosing spondylitis which is the fusion of my joints that leads to daily pain, and a lack of being able to do with my girls. The constant voice telling you, that you can't do certain things anymore. No longer a firefighter paramedic.

I was blessed to be in Bible College in 2003,where my roommate invited me to go and see Big Daddy Weave in concert at a church, right when I felt the connection between God and music. Growing out dreadlocks, and having piercings, I was not the typical "Christian" of the Midwest at the time. The site was in St. Louis MO. And there was another band that acted like they were too important to be playing such a venue. But everybody in Big Daddy Weave was standing there, talking and interacting with everyone.
I was thinner at the time, but I've always dealt with my weight and seeing such a reflection of God, come from voices that were bigger like me, and in overalls and t-shirts... I was staggered because I realized, I did not know what real faith and joy and love looked like. You all layed hands over us, and prayed over us, and as we talked about music, I'll never forget, you said, "Don't let anyone take away your joy for the Lord or music."
God, thank you, for bringing him into Your Kingdom. Although all of our hearts hurt, thank You for Your mercy.
