I heard an interview recently with a FFDP band member who talked about this. The real story is FFDP was trying to collab with DMX for a long time, but the schedules didn't work out. After DMX left us, FFDP was able to get the masters for the DMX recording of the song from the label and reverse engineered it until they created what you hear now.

I love a good metal song with a good rap mixed in. You wouldn't think those two would mix but for me they absolutely do. This song is awesome and one of the best I've heard.
