  • After going 1-1 in the first two of three 250 A motor at the 2016 JS7 Freestone Championship, Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Austin Forkner had to dig deep in the final moto of his amateur career to salvage the title. Coming from the back of the pack Forkner battles with Sean Cantrell, Chase Sexton, Bradley Taft, and others for the win.
    The full 17 minute race has been edited down to an easier to watch 8 minutes. Every pass and battle are still shown.

    Don't you just love it when a piece of roost knocks off another piece of roost from the lens?

      +Sebastian Clemmons funny thing is I used to not watch/fast forward to the end after a big blob appears however a number of times it got knocked off making the video useable after all 👊🏼. Thanks!

      +KmekGrant That's what I'd thought while editing it, however after looking closer it's actually a different rider with the same type of gear.

      +KmekGrant If you watch Jayce penningtons video I think from Vurbmoto, You see its him who cuts the track.

    • @JamesGingerich
      @JamesGingerich  8 лет назад +1

      +joell leone Actually Jayce is too far ahead in this video to see. While Jayce did go off the track he came back on through the hay bales and lost a few spots. The guys you see here blatantly cut the track and made no attempt to maintain their position. As an AMA guy once told me, going off the track happens however we'd better not see any roost being thrown up.

      @stellastarr69 8 лет назад +2

      +destroyall24 You might be right, but people said the same thing about Adam Cianciarulo. Time will tell. I hope he does well. He has a bright future in the sport for sure.

    • @ethan_martin
      @ethan_martin 8 лет назад +2

      +destroyall24 Forkner is not a cianciarulo in case you are trying to compare him to him. He may do well, but I doubt dominance will be in his future for a while. The majority pros are MUCH faster than the 250A amateurs.

    Not sure if Austin needs to work on his starts or if he got a bad start on purpose so he could work the pack. I guess we will find out Saturday!

    • @Sruikyl
      @Sruikyl 8 лет назад

      joshmx28 You don't sabotage yourself at this level of racing. Maybe go try and become a top level amateur rider then whence you've done that, report back on your willingness to start dead last..

    • @joshmx28
      @joshmx28 8 лет назад

      Check out the 1997 LA supercross 125cc class. Ricky Carmichael and David Pingree both purposely started last to see how far they could get in the pack. Forkner had nothing to lose on this race anyway, he's already signed. Maybe he should have practiced passing through the field because he kind of sucks as a pro.

    How do you have such clear audio without wind noise?

    • @JamesGingerich

      +benaferhc5 I used the waterproof case/housing for this video, which seemed to help cut down on the wind noise.

      I'd beg to differ. I think he's gonna realize there's some pretty stiff competition come hangtown. Top 10 for sure. But I don't think he's gonna podium off the batt with guys like Dungey, Musquin, Tomac, Barcia will be back, the list goes on.
