I have the S7+ with the keyboard cover. Love it. Had it for months. Use it to log into work using citrix. Don't use the pen much except to navigate in windows over citrix. Rarely use Dex. Bought a tablet holder on Amazon and love couch surfing on this tablet with the holder on my chest. Got the 45 watt charger for $50 and don't really need it unless I'm traveling which I don't do much with covid. The sound is excellent. Love watching movies on the couch with this tablet even though I have a large 4k TV.
@@ipshit3572 you can't do graphics on a tablet and the m1 cpu is design to do heavy loads not play games, cheaper tablets can do it well so buy it is a waste of money.
I bought the Galaxy Tab S7 on Amazon and sold it within 3 weeks. I didn't like the screen and it really couldn't compare with my iPad Pro 11 from 2018. I just bought the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro from the Lenovo Website for myself for Christmas. Paid $299 plus $21 taxes. I just say that I really do love this tab. It got the Android 11 update and while it's not as fast as the Galaxy Tab S7, it's still pretty good. The speakers are really good as well. It's my first Lenovo device in 10 years and I am pleasantly surprised. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a great deal on the Tab P12 Pro and I'll pass the 11 Pro to my wife.
After being an Apple fanboy all my life, I have to say the Galaxy Tab S7/S8/S9 are the greatest tablets in the world. iPad Pros are 2nd now. I owned the 11" Tab S7 and now 11" Tab S8, which cost me $800, but worth every penny! The iPads just don't do it to me anymore, they (iPadOS) are way too limited and restricted (plus iPads are always way overpriced). I feel like iPads are good for kids or old people, who will just use them for basic things, not for heavy work. I still own iPads as my secondary tablet tho. My sister owns a Lenovo, but I just don't like cheap/lower quality Android tablets. I want he best of the best. Maybe the Google Pixel tablet, but nah, even that I don't like it much. Samsung set the bar too high for Android tablets.
I am interesting the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro for netflix and plex mainly. OLED with support for Dolby vision etc looks quite nice for netflix. But Lenovo has had a terrible trackrecord with Android updates. 1-2 year support maximum. Samsung seems to have become better at this lately with their new policy regarding updates. Samsung S7+ is so expensive ;/
S7 is better, but I ended up choosing the Lenovo due to price. Paid about $560 including pen and keyboard. S7 was going to cost me over $800 (about $650 for the S7 tablet similar to Lenovo + $200 for the keyboard).
what do you think about the lenovo tablet? did you like it these months using it? I'm thinking about getting an lenovo p11 pro. cause here in Brazil it's cheaper or almost the same price as samsung galaxy tab s6 lite.
I think you should consider changing the battery test to some standardized screen brightness (instead of full brightness), let's say 200 nits and use a colorimeter or some other device, which would tell you what brightness setting you should use on each tablet to achieve it. Looping a video encoded in a format for which the processor has HW acceleration built in is a relatively low load task, meaning that at that point the screen is the biggest power hungry component. As you said, the Samsung tablet gets a lot brighter. That could be translated to 8 hours of comfortable outdoor video viewing experience on the Samsung tablet compared to 10 hours of compromised experience on the Lenovo tab. The battery life results as you have them are not comparable and thus provide no value for comparison of different tablets
that sd730 really is too weak for 2021,i guess sd750G-775G will be better served at that Lenovo price..would be better for emulation and general gaming
The Lenovo P11 pro is now offered in the USA with keyboard and pen for $459.00 USD. Giving price consideration do you still feel the same about the two tablets?
I have both. My wife Samsung S7 and I have the Lenovo and I would go for the Lenovo unless you have a Samsung phone or if you want to use it as a second screen (Samsung can connect to a second screen very easily)

The thing that I hate about Galaxy Tab S series is its connectivity issues. I'm so frustrated and fed up that every time my galaxy tab gets disconnected from the WiFi, it is a nightmare to reconnect it to the WiFi 😓. No resets could solve this. I'd have to wait the next day before it can finally connect back to the WiFi, but the internet would be super slow! My other devices can connect to the WiFi with no issues. I am perplexed why Samsung never cared about this when many forums have highlighted this issue.
maybe it is a faulty unit, or your wifi router has some issues. My s7+ doesn't have such issues, from time to time during screen cast to TV and a Zoom call, wifi on the tablet disconnect, so I have to reconnect wifi by selecting it in the menu and that's it, even zoom will continue seamlessly. Maybe you should test your tablet with different wifi router.
man that pentile screen on the lenovo is a huge letdown. It is cheaper in China, under $500 USD but, I would probably pay a little extra for a better experience.
