This RUclips video will give you a step by step guide on how to make your own naturally beautiful macrame curtain tie backs.
Jute is biodegradable and as these macrame curtain tie backs don’t require other materials they are environmentally friendly products. They can be used as stylish home decor around your house, or as lovely macrame gift ideas to give to family and friends. I found them so therapeutic to make during lockdown and there’s nothing more satisfying than being able to make your own products and gifts. Once you’ve got the hang of macrame knots you can be as creative as you like trying out different styles and materials.
My background is nursing, I’m a single mum of 2 kids and I work in the emergency department. In my spare time I do house renovations and I love trying out new things and being creative. If I can do it - you can too!
I got this idea after playing around with jute macrame plant hangers which I will also post a video of in the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy the tutorial and I’d love to hear how you get on in the comments.

Thank you for sharing! Great teaching skills. I have tried to learn this from others and could not master it. Thank you for taking time to explain steps ,not just hurry through without explaining. 😊

For the first video you have ever done your editing skills are superb. The first 1000 subscribers is the most difficult but you just keep plugging away at it and you will get there.👍

Do you think you could use material strips to add softness or color or replace the jute?
Such a lovely skill to share! Thank you
Absolutely. You could experiment with anything 😊
I just liked and subscribed to your channel. If I take a 3 mm cord how do you suggest the length of my cords should be ? Please help lol I love your video a lot. You’re doing a great job 👏
Thanks for taking the time to subscribe. You may be ok still using 2 x 1m and 2 x 2m lengths but maybe give yourself a bit longer just in case.
Ok but with 5 mm it’s 2X 2 meters plus 2X 4 meters. Are you sure I’m gonna be missing cords. ???
@@blondybuilder Are you sure I’m not gonna missing cords with half less ???
Sorry that should have said 2x2m and 2x4
@@blondybuilder ok no problem 😉 thank you for helping me. I really appreciate it. From Canada 🇨🇦
Hey :) can you tell me how long your finished tie back is?
Yeah sure - it’s 85cm in total length
Thank you✌🏼
Por que no dan las medidas ????
There is measurements in the video. Or do you mean the length of the finished tie back?
