It's not just about linking, it's about how no one is "huge" on Threads yet because it JUST launched. Those who get started and build up a presence NOW have a bigger chance or gaining new followers, views, etc. It's like those early RUclipsrs. If you are some of the originals on a platform, you are the ones most likely to succeed at building and growing a following. The algorithm will favour you.

If you are a business owner or trying to grow your brand, develop a brand, etc, now is the time to jump on this trend. If you just want to use the platform for personal reasons (no monetary or business goals in mind) then no, it isn't urgent. Since my channel targets freelancers and entrepreneurs, I have noticed that jumping on trends is imperative and can skyrocket your views, follows, etc. Right now, Threads is still fresh and no one has an extremely established profile there. We are all starting fresh. By starting NOW, you are giving yourself or your business/brand a chance to be seen by more people VS months from now when millions more join.

My background as an operating room nurse for 17+ years undoubtedly would be an advantage. I accurately type fast and furiously, as doctors aren’t exactly patient in my field! Questions in particular: 1. - Do medical transcriptionists need to be certified (RHDS or CHDS)? 2. - Any medical transcription companies that you recommend? Thank you in advance for any assistance!!

Nice video. It is a great app but, there are a few issues with it. I am seeing differing RUclips videos talking about the app. I am finding that people can't use it on a computer unless you do a hard multi step process. I am now ok with the fact that we are stuck with Threads but, it should have been a separate app.
Question! I opened my account and I made it public but I still had to approve requests (old ones I'm assuming) new followers came in no problem. Do you encounter this as well? The issue tho, is that I was manually accepting the accounts to follow me and then all of a sudden I switched back to that page and they were gone - but I was certain there were several hundred more pending to follow me. I can't see them anywhere now
Hmm, I accepted all pending follows before changing pages. I think I know where you should be able to access that. Click on the 'Settings' icon on the top right beside the Instagram icon. Then click 'Privacy' then 'Profiles you follow'. Then there are three tabs, "followers", "following" and "pending". See if there are any pending requests under these tabs!

This is the thing. If something replaces an old social media platform and your entire business is ON one social media platform, you could lose everything. That's why it's so important to take part in new trends!
I also have never used Twitter! But I really like this. You can post videos, text, photos, and links! You can even post videos and text in a single "carousel" of different sizes. I've been experimenting.

Users will just have to keep in mind the possibility that once again big tech has no issue censoring Americans. They ALL do it. I’m a big believer in anti censorship. Doesn’t matter what you believe in. Everyone’s voice should be heard on any topic. Well not any topic of course like crimes and especially crimes against children. But I think you get my point.

I actually have never used Twitter, but I am not surprised! I guess it all depends on what your use would be for this type of platform. Because of the nature of my work, I tend to avoid any political discussions on social media platforms because "cancel culture" is a real and scary thing! If your goal is to just use it for fun, business ideas, connecting, and not using it for political discussion, I think it's a pretty great app.
I should correct that to *needs* if you are a business, freelancer, or entrepreneur. If you have business goals in mind or if your business relies on social media, it's important to jump on the trend now so you don't get lost later on.
