Hi, nice guide, but i have problem, no sound in headphones front panel, windows detect. then i plug headphones. But hear in headphones static sound and no audio from pc.
Thank you very much my audio cable was not plugged in and it was their mistake i simply install the cable in the motherboard and problem solved thank you.
Please Help!! I have a Lenovo h520s. I am in the process of changing the motherboard, but my front panel io SOCKET does not fit onto the new Motherboard. I really want to keep this case, what do I need to connect it to motherboard.?
My headphone jack pug broke and is stuck in the front audio port so I try to do the reverse. Connect the cable to the rear port, but there is nothing there to connect it. I don't know if I'm missing something or if it's over.
Hi that cable is the same for the rear panel audio? My PC lost audio output sound. I reviewed this cable and it's connected. But the cable is a little like some mini cables inside are out. Can I use other cable? Or is there another connector for rear Audio? Thank you

How do you connect a 2x7 front audio cable from a Red Skull Summit 16552-1 MB (AMD Dell Inspiron 5675) to a 2x5 front audio header on an ASUS Xonar or Creative sound card? Onboard sound went out, and now need a sound card, can’t find any that work with OEM Stereo Jack/cable! Haven’t found an answer for this one anywhere?
I don't have this cable! I bought a used pc and I want to get the front panel audio working, but I can't find what I need online. Does this cable have a specific name I can search for?? Where are replacements even sold? All the cables I've been finding look like the header with the pin gap at the end, which isn't what I want.
Hi, How do you connect a speaker of say 2 watts to a motherboard? does the audio socket provide enough watts? and which pins do i use? thanks for any help
when I connect the front panel audio to the motherboard the back panel audio not working. when disconnecting the front panel then back working. please help to solve this. (Biostar H110MH pro d4)
there's a crooked pin in the cable plugin port, so I can only use my headset when I plug into the speaker port. Is there a way I can straighten the pin?
You're lucky because your cable was in ONE 10 pin HOUSING HD AUDIO... BUT my front panel, it is separate into each pin : R-RET, MIC IN, MIC PWR, etc... And I don't know the pins configuration for HD AUDIO ...
i have a problem and I'm not sure how to fix it and if anyone can help me out a bit I would appreciate it, the front panel ports of both headphone and microphone seem to be weak, I plug either one in and it almost feels like the connectors inside the PC have either become too loose or have worn out somehow. I opened up my PC to see if anything seems damage or out of place but can't think of anything wrong. sometimes the signal will pick up and my Windows will notify me that headphones were plugged but it goes away so I think I need to replace the front panel.
did you took out the front panel to look close to the audio connectors? you need to look if the audio connectors are solidly connected to the plaque where the cables come from, if the connection is damaged you need to replace it sorry for my English
this dude knows how to make high quality tutorials/explanations. rate 10/10 in all points
Right? Seriously good use of time and camera work. This was fantastic.

Hello, I was trying to connect my HD audio to my mobo and noticed that I can’t push it in all the way? What should I do?
Will the cable for the port come with my case or my psu?
I only have one labelled AUDIO not HD AUDIO, presume its the same right just labelled differently?
