Had my Focus Titanium 1.0L since February now - absolutely love it. 2017 plate, just had it's first MOT and passed. No issues. Not expensive to insure, tax, fill up - and if anything ever goes wrong, they're not expensive to fix either. Would recommend to anyone.
@@shoaibahmed1618 Hi - yes I still have the same one. It's great for me. I'm not big on cars but I definitely think it's worth spending a bit of money on a good car. It works for me. I do low mileage in a year tbh so not sure how it would fare on high mileage, but for what I need and use, its great.
Great review you take people into the car and it's like their there with you road movement.engine sound.love it.thinking of buying 151 reg think it the 100ps version as it has five speed box instead of 6 speed box.
Good car, phenomenal engine, but the stated fuel economy numbers are way out (mine is the 125bhp manual version). Expect to get low 40's (as in 40-43) for mixed town/carriageway/motorway, and upper 40's for mainly motorway. Other than the economy though, it's a great car.
In town driving im getting low 30s sometimes is that normal for this engine on e10? I live in leicester and the traffic is notoriously bad so maybe the bad traffic means the mpg is always gonna be shit here. I did manage to get it to 50mpg on the motorway recently but it seems to be terrible at short trips even when the engines warmed up
Just about to watch your video on the new 1.0 fiesta, I thought I'd commented on this before, probably something about the speed at 4:02 going into what's apparently a 20 zone :D Lovely engines these
Am still amazed at how they can fit 100 bhp+ inside a 1.0L car how they've come along way 😀 I'll be picking my ecoboost 1.0 this Thursday and watching this video I can't wait to see it with my own eyes finally 😀 am so excited and it's got to be cheaper on repairs than my kia picanto
@shoaibahmed1618 it's cheap to run , good fun but do keep your eye on the coolant as the tank can empty with the blink of an eye , I always check it every week seems not even the mechanics in my area can find out why it goes through so much coolant.
@shoaibahmed1618 just keep eyes on the coolant that's about it even though it's got a new turbo and coolant pipes it still eats through it other than that I've had no real problems.
This is one of the weirder cars I've driven (automatic transmission). Despite its 1 liter engine, it 'feels' when putting your gas lightly on and moving that you're driving a V6 Taurus or something. But I really, really disliked the transmission, probably not helped by the 1 liter engine vs. turbocharger, but it feels like it has 2 acceleration speeds: dangerously slow, and tire spinning fast. Doing right turns onto busy streets from a stop was so scary, because if you push your foot on the gas at anything half pressure or under, you creep out like a grandma, and need to give yourself well more time than any other car would to make your turn. But then if you go half pressure and up, you're spinning your tires around the turn. And if you play with the accelerator while driving, it is very hard to understand what the transmission decides to do and when, and even when you accelerate hard and then let your foot off the gas, there's about a second where the car still kind of accelerates, and then decides to decelerate. I'm guessing that's from the turbo, though. Still, very weird.
YepImTheToaster yep i get you, to achieve the fuel economy and acceleration its a compromise between the engine size, the amount of cylinders, the turbo and the gearing, i suppose the only answer to your problem as to give it some gas but control the take up with the clutch to avoid wheel spin 😎 which isnt going to help things long term, clutch and fly wheel wear, just have to hope you save enough money on fuel to get the repairs done 😎
+Andy Holmes its better with, keyless entry if you don't have yo get the key out of your pocket, but makes the car easier to steal, so would rather have a key myself, wouldn't do for us all to be the same though
I am scared about keyless entry. Thieves nowadays use signal boosters to try boost the signal from your key which is inside the house and unlock the door without even having to break in.
You are right to be, stupid idea, makes them easier to steal than in the old days, put your keys in the microwave or a faraday pouch, stops the signal getting snatched from outside
I don't know why they fit push button start and don't fit keyless entry? Or they have it as an optional extra. They go hand in hand in my opinion. No keyless entry, I have to take the key from my pocket and open the door, then I can put it back in my pocket and start it in the button. For crying out loud Ford, fit keyless as well with the push start and stop penny pinching. They've even made it an option on the newer, latest Mk4 Focus. Most other cars, even Kia have it all as standard. Ford needs to up its game a bit as they're getting left behind by other brands...
