never thought i’d ever hear lupe rap on a carti beat. the exchange of bars between him ovrkast and lani was fun. a real OG. casually dropping gems for the new generation too. “it ain’t gotta be too complex it just needs to stay in context”. “don’t do it how they want it, do it how it feel.”

I remember helping Ovrkast write the bars for the first song he ever recorded at Bunche in 2014 for our hip hop therapy group. Even back then he was already extremely talented with his production. And his bars were already fire as well. Always so much soul and substance. So amazing to see how far he's come. He deserves it 💫
