I have been fascinated by the octatrack for 8 years but never taken the dive into getting one. I know it could be a great machine and but it feels like a lifestyle to be good with it.
That editor difference got me good in the beginning...Thought I was losing my mind! I wish there was a quick load function to dump static into flex for editing purposes (like on the Edit menu > Reload into Flex editor).
Random thought, I would like to see a in depth wavetable focused digi box similar to digitone where there are fewer tracks but more depth rather than the model cycles/syntakt machines they feature
this is super useful. i'm a few months into learning the octatrack. there were a few points i feel it would be nice to go deeper on, such as the flex audio editor options and perhaps some examples to keep ram usage down. really nice tips here, thanks.
So if tou had a really long song playing from a Static Track, and let’s say it was the same bmp throughout, wouldn’t there be some eventual deviation from the clock as time went on, which would make the effects (of any template) sound off? Or could you have a single 30-min file playing at 120bpm on Static, and still at then end of that have the OT effects sync perfectly right up to the end? (Eg freeze delays and whatnot)..
Hey! What was the name of that group THAT HAD ONE GUY ON A MIXER THAT DECIDED WHAT THE AUDIENCE WOULD HERE mean while the other guys just made music or baselines and what not? I’m rambling now but I know you talked about them after a gig you had. Can’t find the episode Love you stuff man!
Hi @ezbot Love your work and all your Electronowledge! I wanna buy one of your Octatrack templates…. But at this point I’m not sure which one is for me. Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered… But could tell me which template is best for which purpose? I’m stuck between Performance and hybrid. But open to whatever. I have the OT, Dtakt and Dtone. I like to experiment, produce and perform. And would like to have sampling and resampling capabilities… But then again, I don’t know what’s all possible, so kinda wanna have it all… lol Thanks a bunch

Love the short and sweet tips/educationals between long form streams
Glad you like them!
Same! Both formats have their benefits 👌🏻

I Love these basic but so important subjects 🙌

That's so interesting, I've just been in that moment when I had to decide what to use. I went for static and it paid off ;)
Changed the outro music, the original being forever goated, but honestly, I’m not mad at it
It’s still that music for the streams! I like to switch the short form videos music around 😂
