I recently splurged on a sterling silver 1941, but I still like my brass 1941, probably because I spent years working on old boats that had brass brightwork. If you have a nautical history, the brass is just a natural.
It should be the same, since they all start out as brass (except the sterling silver and 18K gold), then most of them get a layer of zinc, then one of chrome.
