I recently splurged on a sterling silver 1941, but I still like my brass 1941, probably because I spent years working on old boats that had brass brightwork. If you have a nautical history, the brass is just a natural.
It should be the same, since they all start out as brass (except the sterling silver and 18K gold), then most of them get a layer of zinc, then one of chrome.
mine actually had a matching brass insert too

Different letters (months) on insider and on the bottom of lighter. It`s strange.
That's not strange, it's because more inserts than cases are produced.

Can you actually use this or is it just display
Of course you can use it. Just like any modern zippo, just as a replica of older models
Sound is the same?
