The 8' reed on the pedal makes this light, happy, refreshing, humorous - Bach having a great time - the way you break to the drone of the cars meandering down the street - just fantastic.
The performance is marvelous, as we would expect from this organist...but I also appreciated the video work. Especially how it showed that the organist is playing the final pedal run (11:30 - 11:39) without cheating -- no holding on to the cheeks for dear life!
I’ve been waiting for this recording for SO long and I’m so glad we finally have it!! It’s such a beautiful piece and its complexity gives a feeling of peace to me
My beloved artist and my beloved piece.Look’s like I’II be able to performance of this work.I noticed that video is recorded in the completely new style.😮Beautiful 😭🎵🥰
I just bought the ticket for the next year's st Matthew passion!! I was so surprised that the tickets opened so early, and that the tickets were out that early. Anyway I'm really looking forward to the performance, and thank you for this magnificent recording!
A phenomenal video, showcasing the part of organists' skill that is usually hidden! Would it be easier to find the pedals barefoot? The coordination of all four limbs while the performer also experiences Bach on the highest level is almost unreal! ❤
I may not fully comprehend all the nuances of this chap's performance expressed here, however, I am extremely appreciative of Bach, and the reverential sounds emanating from such organs, in particular when played for ceremonial and other formal occasions in church settings.
0:07 Prelude
5:22 Fugue
Awesome video for us organists, so we can learn of the very best. Doeselaar is just such a musical engine!!
I don't know what's more impressive - the composition or the execution.
Die Komposition!
Finally, a new organ performance. Van Doeselaar is superb.

Ahhh... Our wonderful Zutphen St Walburgis Church and its magnificent Bader organ! The best playing the best on the best. Perfect.
Thank you so much. This is divine in every aspect. Long live Bach!
So rich in everything - color, sound, overall quality is just top shelf. Love the new lighting and pedal cam.
Thank you; NBS is an embodiment of bach. The best of all composers ever lived on earth
Amen!
What a privilege. Thank you from Canada

Absolutely brilliant on every count. Can i add that that the images of the church in zutphen make it look lively and worth visiting.
they do? they look like 3D renders...

Once again the organist virtuoso Leo van Doeselaar showed his impressive skill 🎵🎹🎶
D Major is RED. Performance, video and color grading are simply wonderful ❤

I totally agree!! D major is red!!

Saint Walburgis church Zutphen ( the Netherland ), Bader (1643) / Timpe ( 1815 ) organ.

The word stupendous comes to mind!
Marvelous!

Yay some organ repertoire
I haven't heard this Preludebefore, but it definitely showvases Bach's Italian and French influences in it. There's a lot of de Grigny in there.
Loved this fugue since Virgil Fox played it in a rock theatre many years ago.

I just like it!
This one taking off. I haven't even listened to it yet!
Imponerende 🌞👍

I am not sure if I understand your question
