The 8' reed on the pedal makes this light, happy, refreshing, humorous - Bach having a great time - the way you break to the drone of the cars meandering down the street - just fantastic.

The performance is marvelous, as we would expect from this organist...but I also appreciated the video work. Especially how it showed that the organist is playing the final pedal run (11:30 - 11:39) without cheating -- no holding on to the cheeks for dear life!

Absolutely brilliant on every count. Can i add that that the images of the church in zutphen make it look lively and worth visiting.

A phenomenal video, showcasing the part of organists' skill that is usually hidden! Would it be easier to find the pedals barefoot? The coordination of all four limbs while the performer also experiences Bach on the highest level is almost unreal! ❤

I haven't heard this Preludebefore, but it definitely showvases Bach's Italian and French influences in it. There's a lot of de Grigny in there.

I may not fully comprehend all the nuances of this chap's performance expressed here, however, I am extremely appreciative of Bach, and the reverential sounds emanating from such organs, in particular when played for ceremonial and other formal occasions in church settings.
