In videogames developers tend to add things here to stay creative while also following the plot, my assumption in this case is that it's like on the movie the scene when Morpheus was teaching Neo how to fight in the simulation program, and they showed the computer guy had many fighting programs, so i like to think that this was during that time frame when Neo was training. I didn't play the game btw
In 1999 it took ALL of Hollywood stopping special effects production on ALL movies to all collaboratively work on the CGI of "The Matrix". In 2019 it can be done by one person in Funhaus for10-second ending to an internet video
