  • Morbidly obese, clinically depressed and suffering from a brain tumor, the future wasn't looking bright for Charlie Jabaley. So he decided to change one thing about his life -- everything.
Walking away from a successful career managing Grammy-winning hip hop artists, he decamped Atlanta for LA., adopted a plant-based diet and began training for an ironman.
Nine months later Charlie is 120 pounds slimmer. His brain tumor has shrunk without medication. He's happy for the first time. But most of all, he has achieved his childhood dream of becoming an athlete and found purpose in inspiring others.
Today I share the powerful tale of this inspiring everyman.
    Enjoy!
    ✌🏼🌱 - Rich

This is a late reply but I had to. My maternal uncle was diagnosed with brain tumour which was cancerous. He was made to go through chemo and they fed him huge amounts of meat and eggs for a bedridden man. We changed his diet to a plant based fruit and veg and herbal medicine and he started walking again. But his family again went back to meat and eggs and unfortunately we lost him end of 2017. If only they had continued with fruits, veg and herbal meds.
Wish you all the health and vitality.

I heard Mel Robbins say the finding your purpose is not about the activity but about having better feelings or more energy after the activity. The activity can be irrelevant. This clicked with me, because so many people are looking for their purpose as an activity and not as a feeling which is what it is. They are looking in the wrong place.

reconnecting with our center, our universe, seems too fluffy to say there is No substance in that, it's too far out there, but to find the means to bring in this out-worldly thinking, it is about where to look. thx Noel.

I want to share with you, about two hours before I came across the podcast I said to myself “I am so boring, kinda lame, I don’t have a cool nickname, nothing I am really known for or anyone cares about” it was inspirational to hear why Charlie, becomes Charlie Rocket and he added the headband and sunglasses. I get it, it makes since to me. Thank you both, I can’t wait to learn, follow and hear more!

Hey Rich started listening to your podcasts a few weeks back and this afternoon I started listening to this on Spotify given my history - I was diagnosed a with a pituitary adenoma (benign tumor) a week after this particular episode was published on Spotify back on January 8th. I ended up going a different a different route and had the tumor removed on Feb 15th, went whole food plant based on Feb 19th, and have not looked back. My IGF-1 levels have (at least for now) fallen back into normal levels and many of the acromegaly related issues are beginning to reverse (though some are here to stay I think). Thanks for all the info, the great interviews and the inspiration. BTW, your most recent episode was Dr Ornish and his wife was amazing.

The topic on quantum physics and aligning to a higher frequency through changes in the food you eat and lifestyle resonated with me. I experienced the same. The universe has opened up a lot of opportunities for me when I started to align with my true self and values, evident on my food choice, compassion and purpose. This is really powerful stuff I hope everyone gets to experience. Life becomes more awesome when you don't consume death.

Commenting already, only a few minutes in.... I cannot stop smiling with this guy! I was just sitting here reading “The Power” and I started getting sleepy, so I thought, let me check out one of Rich’s podcasts, and I remarkably clicked on this one. How fitting. This young man is amazing and he is glowing with possibilities. I’m definitely keeping my eye on this kid. Thank you Rich and Universe for bringing this about. ❤️
