  • @twiggy.327
    @twiggy.327 2 дня назад +59

i love tapping, but specifically slow and gentle tapping. i find fast tapping to be overstimulating and less tingly, the anticipation of when the taps will come is part of it!
i prefer a softer borderline unintelligible whisper to a louder one, but both are nice. The louder whisper can tend to have those high pitched hissing noises that aren’t my fav. soft spoken will always be my number one though!
finger flutters will always be king, never stop. the nails sliding against each other is also top tier, one of my favorite triggers from you.
i prefer the mics out of frame, it definitely helps me relax more and it makes the entire experience much more immersive.
i like that you make eye contact with the camera. even as someone who doesn’t really like eye contact irl, i find it soothing in videos and also helps with immersion!
it’s not the most important to me if the asmrtist is enjoying themself, but it definitely makes the videos much better when you can feel the joy and dedication to the craft. the thing i notice the most isn’t irritation but boredom. if the artist dgaf abt the video, it comes through.
i agree that the hissing variety of white noise is evil. i think it came from hell actually. but lower pitched white noise is fine, and in a roleplay can even add to the immersion factor by making even the pauses sound as if you’re in the video setting.
i prefer the dark ambience unless its for a roleplay video, in which case i love a themed setting (like the waiting room from the reprogamming video)
i like music but not through the whole video, it helps with relaxation but blocks tingles for me. i dont mind the loud noises every once in a while of trains or cars or whatever, it makes it feel like we as the audience are sitting in your room and getting annoyed over minor inconveniences together. a bit of harmless parasocial bonding.
rhythmic asmr is a gift to this world as a musician literally nothing is more tingly than watching you experiment with different rhythms and patterns all with the same production quality and care that you put into everything. 10/10
im a terrible insomniac so i tend to go through multiple asmr videos a night before i sleep. usually the videos are still playing when i fall asleep. i watch asmr a lot during the day as a relaxation technique to help me manage panic attacks, and i usually watch them all the way through.
i enjoy direct mic brushing but its definitely better when its light. too heavy makes me feel like i got spiders in my ears or something.
i prefer longer videos but will still watch short ones. as a serial watcher i’ll have asmr playing for hours and hours back to back, so it’s nice to stay with individual videos for longer.
i like the change in view, i find the switch itself very tingly. i love up close shots in your short form as well, and i think in small doses it would be great in longform content!
i love answering questions like this, its a true joy. the scientist in my brain loooooves data collection. your videos have helped me get my anxiety and panic attacks under control and the quality of my life has truly improved. this is the least i can do

    2) sloowwww soft whispers that delay the enunciation of hard consonants at the end of words
    3) reminders to breathe
    4) positive affirmations

my biggest thing is that true asmrists do things with intention!!! i can always tell when someone is just doing it and zoning out or not caring whereas my fav asmrtists really connect with the viewer, influencers tap for the sake of it because its in the zeitgeist but not with the same intention that a truly good asmrtist does

Why do you call them "true"? There are different asmr artists. Some are attentive to the audience, and some have a different style. To differ them into "true" is judgemental and poor because you degrade rate people in that manner.

I feel like there's a distinction between people who create ASMR because they love it and want to share it with others, and people who create ASMR because the views and "attention" make them feel important. And I feel like the former are more pleasant to listen to than the latter, regardless of style.
There are ASMRtists that I listen to who don't talk or show their faces, and only focus on the sounds. They don't try to "connect" with the audience really, and their style is valid. But even with trigger-only videos, I can still tell whether or not the ASMRtist is dojng it because they love ASMR or not.

  • @linlinn_png
    @linlinn_png 2 дня назад +36

Also I really like the black/dark backdrops because visual triggers are really important for me to get tingles so the darker the video overall, the better.
I do have a shortcut to reduce the white point of my display at night but sometimes it isn’t enough.
Obviously its simultaneously also important to not make the image too dark because of quality loss in dark areas so i understand that it cant be too dark

  • @betterknownas...
    @betterknownas... 2 дня назад +40

Never commented before but since I’m so early… as someone that doesn’t get tingles at all but still finds ASMR relaxing I think I 100% sense the vibe from the person in the video and the number one thing that makes an ASMR creator stand out is when they seem content/happy or in the flow of what they are creating.
If they (seemingly) aren’t feeling it then neither am I. So I guess my opinion would be to do whatever makes you feel connected to your audience and the craft and leads you to enjoying it more.
And thank you for all the time and effort you’ve put into creating thus far.

I also do not get tingles, but thoroughly enjoy listening/watching ASMR videos.
The artists I most enjoy, seem to enjoy what they’re doing, upping my pleasure and relaxing. You and Gibi seem to have the most fun.
Thank you for the slow tapping, and changing tempo. Fast taps are less relaxing for me.
I watch to specifically fall asleep. I let my screen go dark and listen. Long silences are distracting and depending on the next sound, likely to wake me up. So soft rain, brown noise, is better than complete silence (in extended minutes).
I love eye contact! Feels so much more personal, we’re possibly having a conversation.

apparently i am highly opinionated because i have a burning desire to answer these. so here we go!! thanks for the vid ozley xxx
    1. i’d say no re. the tiktok thing!! if you’re into asmr you expect a lot of tapping i think. it’s one of the most classic triggers around!! i’m a fan but usually in more of a casual way rather than full tapping videos
    2. i like the quieter more clicky whisper, but it sometimes depends on the mic settings. i am not a soft spoken person before bed, only for daytime!
    3. i don’t mind seeing the mic if they’re heavily involved (i.e brushing, scratching) but if they’re not i prefer not to see them. but will watch either way!
    4. i love eye contact in asmr. i feel immediately less connected without it
    5. i think media is always better when someone has their heart in it and i feel bad watching someone not have a good time! and i can often tell. but when it’s your career and a lot rides on a certain take or something, it’s hard to control, so i have empathy for you guys and can still feel relaxed either way i think
    6. i like some veeeery subtle white noise (like yours!) because complete silence is eerie to me, but i agree that don’t want anything high pitched. if i listen to it on its own i always want dark noise or brown noise specifically!!
    7. something personal and homey as a background for me for suuuure!! too much colour and stuff is distracting.
    8. NO MUSIC!!!! cannot do it before bed. the contrast in tonal quality between the deep bg music and the gentle sounds of the mic is not relaxing for me
    9. same as you!! just a watch till i’m sleepy and then headphones out and phone off and sleep (getting there right about now!!)
    10. yes yes yes direct brushing!! doesn’t even have to be light. it sounds like waves
    11. probs around 25 is ideal for me!! i usually only have like 30 mins before bed on my phone including asmr time so i only really need that much
(much love ozley!! have looooved typing out these answers it’s helping me rest my brain

  • @hc423

I love close-up slow/gentle ASMR, it really calms my nervous system. I enjoy tapping (camera/screen tapping is so good), super close whispering, a dark background, rain/nature sounds, trigger words, mic brushing, and hair clipping (my favorite trigger of all time).
I don't mind the mic placement, whatever is easier for the creator honestly. When the ASMRtist is happy and relaxed, so am I! I think looking in the viewfinder and background noise is totally fine and often uncontrollable. Also, I'll watch any length of video from my favorite creators.
I have a negative sensory reaction to dry skin sounds, so finger fluttering doesn't do it for me personally.
That's just my input- when you do what feels natural to you, the audience will follow!

    1. I love listening to any tapping, as long as it is not too aggressive or overused
    2. I prefer more of the soft whispers/softspoken, the clicky whispers are definitely more tingly, but it's harder to fall asleep with them
    3. I think that the use of finger flutters depends on how often, they sound nice but aren't very relaxing
    4. I don't mind where the mic is, as long as the video sounds nice 😆
    5. I do prefer when you look at the view finder, but eye contact is nice as long as it's not too intence
    6. I always feel better when i can see if the other person is happy, but I'm really bad on picking up on it
    7. As long as the white noise isn't louder than the asmrtist or trigger I don't mind it that much
    8. Normally I like a more visually appealing background but your videos are more calming so I don't mind
    9. I prefer no music
    10. I normally using talling asmr for playing in the background while I'm doing a task for relaxation, otherwise I'll play it through
    11. I definately like longer videos, but it depends on my mood, however I do check the time before playing the video

My favorite type of asmr videos is when you can tell that the creator is doing their thing and having fun with it. Regardless if that’s like having a thing they come back to or if they are excited to try new things. I feel like you really can tell. And for the more concrete stuff: personally I prefer a whisper any whisper, tapping and hand sounds are great, not big on mic brushing but that’s very much just a personal preference, the rest I feel is just the individual asmrtists flavor.
Thank you for bringing us fantastic content!

  • @JanesSocialAnxiety

I pressed play when I started doing my nighttime routine & literally answered every one in detail out loud to myself in my bathroom, but since I'm settling down for sleep I'll just give my two cents on a few that really stood out to me.
The sort of middle of the road whispering is definetly the best to me. Loud whispers sound too harsh & I'm not at all a fan of anything that borders on unintelligible whispers, they tend to make me uncomfortable.
Your soft spoken voice is absolutely perfect, by the way, it's very comforting & soothing.
To me, whatever background someone uses is just their style, I choose what I prefer to see when looking for a video, but it's not all that important. As long as there's nothing super bright or distracting I'm not particular.
As far as dealing with outside sounds, I don't mind them. Most ASMRtists are working out of their home, I imagine, & probably not making videos as their full time job. I don't expect a perfectly curated background at all times.
I will say, though, if you've already established there's external noise like cars or planes &/or you're fairly certain you can tone the noise down in editing, don't mention every one. That's not a critique of you personally, I've just listened to a few people who mention outside sounds frequently that barely come across in the video & I find myself distracted by listening for the sound. It's nothing major, it just takes me out of the experience a bit.
Thank you for doing a video like this & for also giving the caveat that you're ultimately going to do what makes you the most happy. I'd hate to see you stressing yourself out trying to please everyone, but I do look forward to you maybe trying out some new things after being inspired by some answers.

I found your channel around the second half of last year and fell in love with your videos! They are always some of my favorites. For your questions I love the second type of whispering and I love your taps and when you do the nail clicks/finger flutters. It all just sounds so good and it’s very your brand the nail clicks lol I love that the microphones are out of frame it just seems more personal? I also prefer your background the most (unless it’s something like goodnight moons where it adds to the ambience) but your black background is just amazing in my opinion. The length of the video isn’t that big deal to me since I always loop the videos haha but the longer they are I always appreciate and save for when I do chores and such and have it as background. The eye contact isn’t so much an issue to me but I definitely would notice it more if you did it more often like you said you did in the beginning of your asmr career lol I also love brushing on mics but I also think just brushing the camera is so soothing too. Thank you for this because I love answering questions!! 😂
    1. I love gentle, slow, purposeful tapping but I hate aggressive tapping or really fast tapping because it feels stressful and overwhelming to me. I especially love scratchy-tapping or alternating between the two.
    2. I almost exclusively listen to clicky close whispering, with some exceptions for creators I have been watching long term who I’m used to. The clickier the better for me! Soft spoken can be nice when it’s very quiet, however I can’t fall asleep to it for some reason.
    3. I love intermittent finger flutters in a video but not with other fast sounds at the same time, such as fast repeating sounds or words.
    4. It does look better to not have the microphones in frame, but it’s not something I’ve ever really thought about myself.
    5. I love eye contact in ASMR, and I actually get irritated when people stare at the viewfinder. It makes it seem like they are uninvolved, like when someone doesn’t look at you when you are trying to talk to them.
    6. It is very important to me to be able to feel that the creator is passionate about the ASMR they are creating. I think it comes across in the sound if someone’s heart isn’t in it, and the best sounds are always made with focus and care. The best is when you can tell the creator is so involved that they are making themselves deeply relaxed and sleepy.
    7. I never mind white noise as long as it isn’t too loud or distracting. I actually enjoy some of it, like quiet birds or cars in the background, or even very quiet voices in the background. It makes me feel like I’m there with the asmrtist, as some other people have said as well.
    8. I always prefer a dark background, or a cozy bedroom-like background with dark ambient lighting. It helps to not overstimulate my eyes before bed.
    9. I like background music when it is very quiet, I always like the asmr sounds or the whispers to be the primary focus.
    10. I fall asleep pretty much every single night with an asmr video playing. If I close the video and then try to sleep I always end up getting distracted or in my head again and lose my sleepiness.
    11. I will sometimes casually watch shorter videos throughout the day for enjoyment or relaxation, but if I’m looking for a video to sleep to then I skip anything that is less than 45 minutes long. So the longer the better!
Thank you for this, this was fun!! ☺️

First of all, thank you so much for doing these videos, Ozley. I really struggle to fall asleep most nights and having a familiar voice to play truly helps. I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I say we are so appreciative of you!
To answer some of your questions... I always put on a video to leave it playing as I fall asleep (I like to hear another voice or something else going on in the room so I brain doesn't stress and can just go to sleep). I always look for something thats 30 minutes minimum, but I will always go for an hour long video over a 30 minute one (even if you just repeat the content with rain sounds, or quiet calming music layered over it - some other artists I like do that and thats fine with me!) I just don't want the video end before I'm asleep (because the consistent, reliable sound is what actually helps me fall asleep), and it'll often take me 45 minutes to actually go to sleep. Nothing worse than finally almost being asleep and then the video stops and the silence is so loud lol. So yes, I definitely fall asleep "watching" the videos. I really like that youtube allows you to set a sleep timer now, so I usually set it for an hour (which is why I like the videos that are longer than that) so I don't have to worry about an ad at the end.
You also asked about distance from camera - a lot of the times, I won't actually be looking at the screen, I'm just listening. I'll start by watching, but about ten minutes in I'll flip the phone over (unless it's a dark background video, I love those) to actually try to sleep. I never even noticed the different distances from the camera!
I love when the video is consistent with the level of talking or not talking (so it's like a calming, gentle audiobook without a lot of other sounds, or it's sort of a scene with a specific vibe that you can count on staying mostly static, like taking care of you when you're sick or helping you put on makeup and chatting while doing it).
Also, I'm VERY excited for a rhythmic asmr video! I love those shorts that you do. I also just really love the ones where you're playing a part in a sort of scene (see the above mentioned) so its sort of like you're just hanging with a friend and have safe company as you drift off to sleep. (Plus, LOVE the finger flutters. That was what first attracted me to your asmr videos in the first place on tiktok! That sound is just lovely.) I do also enjoy videos without speaking, where its just the face tracing or brushing or finger flutters (or a collection of all!), as a quieter, gentler option. Sometimes I just can't handle a voice and I just need some sort of consistent sound to break up the silence, but music has far too much going on and those meditative audios feel like I'm just going in circles (its repetitive in a very structured way that asmr triggers just aren't... I wish I could explain it better than that!). Maybe that's just me, though.
All this to say, these are just one person's opinions. But I, for one, really appreciate your videos and am grateful that you've continued to make them. I have a few favorites that I consistently revisit and it's just so comforting to have access to these. Thank you so much!

Hi Ozley!!! I love your videos! I’m not usually one to comment, but I’m apparently one to be influenced by encouragement, so here’s my thoughts:
    1. I love tapping in ASMR! In random videos it can be distracting, but it’s one of the focuses in these videos, and I love the trigger! I also think a variety of sounds and materials in the tapping brings my attention! (I also really love when you show sounds from random things that you’ve found have a good sound! I think the weirdness is also attention grabbing and fun!)
    2. I like when both types of whispering are used together, but I prefer the quieter whispers when by themselves, and I think overall I like when your videos slowly get quieter, because that matches with my drowsiness! Like when you start with a soft spoken “Hey friend” and end with a quiet whispered goodbye, with that gradual change, I think it helps me get drowsy.
    3. I LOVE finger flutters! (I called them finger whispies in my head before I had the word flutter☺️) they are one of my all-time favorite triggers!!!
    4. I think I prefer the mics to be out of frame, but it doesn’t mean I won’t watch ones with the mic🤷‍♀️
    5. I like eye contact! Especially when you are talking, but when you are showing a close up of tapping or a product or something, I kind of expect and like that your eyes are on what you are showing or on the viewfinder, so I like/don’t mind the lack of eye contact then. It also brings my attention to what you are showing more, when your attention is also on it.
    6. I think I can definitely pick up on your mood, but it doesn’t break the relaxation for me. especially if you have clips of your irritation at construction or dogs barking, it doesn’t ruin anything for me, if anything I commiserate with the irritation, have a laugh in my head sometimes, and continue with the video. I think the opposite is also true tho, in that I like when I can tell you are really happy/almost giddy about new satisfying sounds! I share in the excitement, and then continue with the video, so I think it’s ok that I can sense mood/aura, and I like the personality you bring to your videos!
    7. I love white noise, I always have my volume up to hear it! I think it creates a centering sound for my ADHD brain to focus on while hearing and seeing the triggers. You have a couple videos where you cut the white noise (and other sounds too) in one ear at a time, and that was so cool! It really highlighted the white noise for me and was fun!
    8. I like the dark background, but I’ve also seen some of your older videos that have room backgrounds, and I like them too, but I like the dark when it’s close to bedtime. Busy colors is usually too much for me.
    9. I usually prefer just white noise to music, but I do like when you’ve done small time blocks of soft music during moments of thinking or focus. I also REALLY like the humming and soft music videos you have! But those are specific, and in a different category to me.
    10. I don’t mind hearing too many noises in the background, like cars, dogs, or whatever, but I also probably won’t notice if you do decide it bothers you and you cover it up🤷‍♀️
    11. I want to validate you doing things in the ways that you like and make you happy! At the end if the day, this is your content! We love it! But if someone doesn’t, then there are other people showing their own type of content that that person can go watch. We like your content because of you, so please don’t change things away from things you like just because that’s what some people are criticizing or because of trends! I love your personality and what you bring to videos because it’s you! (I do also appreciate your willingness to accommodate!🫶)
    (Yay for future rhythmic video!!!)
    12. I usually notice that I’m falling asleep and turn off the video, but it’s not usually around a specific time stamp, it depends, and sometimes I don’t catch myself and wake up with my phone in my hand dead, because i didn’t plug it in 😂)
    12. I am neutral on brushing on the mic, I prefer the sound of brushing a makeup brush through a hair brush better, but I definitely don’t hate the direct on-mic brushing. It has its moments.
    13. I don’t usually care about the length of the video, I think if it goes over an hour I hesitate more unless I am specifically in the mood for a long video. I think I appreciate when the video is in between 15-40minutes. That’s usually my sweet spot on length, but I really do watch most (*all*) of your videos because I really love your content! (Also, if I fall asleep in the middle of a video, I usually watch it to fall asleep again, until I watch the whole thing before I fall asleep, and I don’t know what that says about my brain. (probably still ADHD) I think I just love your videos and like watching them through. I don’t like missing triggers and your ending slow down!)
    14. I don’t mind the change in focus distance. I do not think it matters to me much if it has zooms or not. I like them, and I don’t think they interrupt my relaxation flow, but I also don’t think I’ll super miss them if you keep a video in the same focus. Up to you, really.
Thank you for opening up this feedback conversation! I think this is really cool!
I really appreciate you and your content! I love seeing your personality shine through in your videos! You truly are my favorite ASMRtist to watch, and just one of my favorite channels to watch period. Sending so much love your way!!!❤🫶

As for what type of asmr the nature sounds and even just like everyday sound like breathing, the typing, there's just something about tingling your brain without it feeling to trying hard, something soft and natural fir asmr is very relaxing. That's why massages, tingling fingers, or makeup brushes feel very amazing. I think it's about the experience you get. Long time subscriber here! I love the lower frequency whispers, long videos (sometimes I watch several of your videos in a row), and invisible trigger pulling and snipping are my favorite sounds for some reason.
And I love when you hum!! The minor key and haunting lullabies are so soothing. You have a great voice!
Not sure how difficult this would be to do, but I’ve listened to another artist a bit and he makes shorter videos longer by just looping the video with rain in the background and I’ve found that helps lull me to sleep.

To begin- I will watch your videos regardless of my feels on triggers and the vibe of the video. There are few with as much cozy relax as your content offers.
    However
    - the sound of gloves, the medical kind, give me the squick. The rubbing, the stretching, the movement of the hands inside them. Icky. But that’s my medical trauma speaking.
    - Mouth sounds while trying to whisper, the clicking kind? I don’t know how to explain but it’s sort of like that repetitive noise that’s happening but you can’t find it.
    - I’m obsessed with hair brushing sounds, and scalp massages! The tingles are unreal.
    - I prefer the vibe of being friends, with compassion, understanding and just… Being there when it’s hard.
    - Your reprogramming videos were some of the first I saw. The clicking gear sounds and the idea that I could be programmed to feel less anxiety is so different. The focus on me trigger in these ones was brain tingling.

Really helps me calm my over thinking. I especially love when you say to not stress about the past. Dont overthink the future, just bring yourself to the present moment. The best part is when you say "your safe" there's just something about those words that make all my stress dissappear.
I usually drift off to sleep then get woken up again halfway through your videos, then i turn them off and fall deep asleep. But sometimes your videos send me to deep sleep and I get jump scared by an ad at the end 😂

Hey Ozley! Love you and your videos.
Tapping: yes if it is slow and gentle. Do not like hard, fast and aggressive tapping.
Whispers: yes for unintelligible and your normal soft spoken whispers but absolutely not with the first loud one.
Finger flutters: Yes 100% love these never can have enough of these.
Microphone: doesn’t matter, most of the time I am not watching and just listening
Eye contact: never noticed you looking in the viewfinder, but yes love eye contact.
Side note I have the same cups😊
Personal sense: I can definitely notice some irritation but I think it’s okay some times. You are human but I love when you note it in a video and make yourself laugh and enjoy what you are making.
White noise: I definitely notice a static or hum, but it’s fine most of the time. Love the type of music you like and it’s good with or without. Also love natural normal sounds, birds, slow windchimes. I really wanted to say I LOVE when you do the “shutdowns” and all sounds disappear just nothing.
Background: dark and warm lighting are my favorites.
Falling asleep: I like 30+ minute videos and I have to turn it off and take out my headphones before I fall asleep. You had one video when the last 10 minutes or so were silence with gentle reminders to turn the phone off and that was amazing.
But I mostly listen during the day to help with anxiety.
Brushing: love it on the mic and love when you do the layered sounds after too.
Overall I feel like ASMR is so personal and there are so many ASMRtists that viewers will find what they like. Personally I find the asmrtists that enjoy the same things I like, naturally. I can tell if a creators tone and vibe and triggers are and will be ones I enjoy within a few minutes. Just want to say I love your videos and please don’t stop making them they are amazing and have helped me a ton with daily anxiety I didn’t even know I had. Thank you so much ❤you don’t know how loved you are.

One of my favs was your video where you started by giving us yellow roses. 1. Tapping: I think I am with the majority of responses that I have been seeing, where I like tapping when it seems more intentional and careful (I shy away from the fast and aggressive styles for that reason).
    2. Whispering: I like a good mix of all three types whispering/soft spoken. They all seemed very gentle and calming.
    3. finger fluttering: I really like finger fluttering and when people rub their hands together- makes nice sounds!
    4. Microphone: I never really thought much about microphone placement in the videos but now that I know you put so much thought into it, the greater appreciation I have for you! I still don't mind much, unless it's a roleplay type video. Then, I don't want to see the mic. It'll take me out of the fantasy of it all~
    5. Eye contact: personally, I like eye contact too. I can't quite explain why other than it's more realistic and comforting.
    6. Aura: I haven't been able to pick up on any asmrtist's negative aura before. So I am either terrible at that (aka it must not matter to me all that much), or they are really good at hiding it. I am usually too sleepy to pick up on those things.
    7. White noise: if I am listening to an asmrtist with no white noise for a bit, it's hard and a little jarring to switch to and asmrtist that has white noise so there are times I will find a new video until I can adjust. That said, I usually get over it, but a constant "rustle" noise is irritating.
    8. Background: I watch ASMR to fall asleep so my brightness is turned all the way down and I prefer the background to be as dark as possible. Too many creators have super bright lights and things going on in the background that make it too distracting for me and I can't sleep.
    9. Music: I was apprehensive, but the music you put on your videos are perfect. I would be down if you wanted to experiment with other noises and sounds.
    10. I usually fall asleep around the 15 min mark when it's hard to keep my eyes open. (I also don't want to wake up to an ad or with my headphones jammed in my ears.)
    11. Video length: But I prefer long form videos 30 min.
    12. Close-ups/far away: It's pretty important to me because I really enjoy this formatting. I like how the close up feels intimate and personal while the far away offers a little bit of a break or change in scenery, if only for a little bit.

I would love to see you do more roleplays like you did a long time ago. Your barbershop and "weird doctor" roleplays are ASMR classics imo.
I prefer the way you keep the microphones out of frame in your videos, 100% agree with you.
Looking into the view finder instead of the camera is a bit of an ASMR pet peeve for me lol but I don't think your that bad with doing it.
I prefer the black background but for some videos a colorful one that matches your aesthetic could be cool.
I like a mixture of both close and far away angles.
I enjoy both your short and long video lengths
I am not a huge fan of finger flutters or brushing directly on a bare mic.

    1. I loooove tapping, when it’s done with different rythms it’s really nice
    2. I prefer normal whispers, I hate soft spoken
    3. Finger flutters is a big yes for me, love it
    4. I do actually prefer when I don’t see microphones, it feels more cozy idk
    5. Eye contact is good, feels more personal
    6. I've never noticed any discontent while watching your videos but yes I think it's better if the asmrtist gives off a good mood and is happy to do what he does
    7. White noise is annoying for sure, especially high pitch ones but i don’t notice it in your videos so that’s good!
    8. I like black background but also homy ones with nice lights (not too bright)
    9. I love relaxing background music, i fall asleep to 3 hours long videos with that kind of music or ASMR, so both in one video will be awesome for me !
    10. I fall asleep to videos, i don’t stop them, i just choose them carefully to be sure there are not more visuals than triggers
    11. Yes to brushing directly on the mic, i love it, even more harsh it’s good
    12. I think for your kind of videos there is no need to be 2 hours long, 25 is a bit too short for me, 30 to 45min it’s perfect
    13. I like closeups, don’t need much of it tho
    14. I would like to add, I obviously love talking ASMR buuut I sometimes feel like triggers are forgetten for the talks, I would like triggers to be longer

I don’t really notice the variety of shots most of the time since I’m just listening to audio to fall asleep but I do appreciate the close up sounds vs further away sounds, etc.

Love rhythmic asmr!! And it’s nice when the mic is out of frame. Eye contact is nice. Music can be sooo relaxing. Sometimes I fall asleep watching it and sometimes I put my phone down and roll over. Honestly just depends. Don’t like brushing. I definitely like longer videos more and I do check before clicking but there is def a place for shorter videos. A variety of close up and far away is better I think.

I'm writing this comment as I watch your video so I don't miss anything. I guess I'm highly opinionated! 😂
1 tapping - I love tapping!! I find myself lightly tapping on everything. It's so relaxing
2 whispering - softb whispering is the best
3 finger flutters - I could take it or leave it but the nails rubbing together.. 🤌🏻
4 microphone placement - whatever makes you happy!
5 eye contact - it's great! I feel like you're talking to just me, like I have a friend
6 energy - I think it's very important for the asmrtist to enjoy making their own videos, but we're all human, and things can make it difficult to film. Overall, if the vibe is good I enjoy it.
7 white noise - I use bose headphones and hear it in every video but its never annoying. As long as it's not louder than the asmr triggers I don't mind.
8 dark background - the background is irrelevant to me personally. I'm too focused on listening and watching hand movements to notice.
9 music - I love background music!! General noise is part of the realism for me. I don't mind at all.
10 Some nights I wake up to my headphones strangling me and my phone cord wrapped around me 😅 other nights I'm more aware and will put my phone down and fall asleep.
11 microphone brushing- YES, just yes to it all!
12 vidoe length - I prefer longer but time isn't watch draws me to a video. It's the artist and the thumbnail shown.
13 variety of shots - I like the different variety, especially when it highlights the trigger you're doing at the time. My relaxation never feels interrupted with the change.
We can all see your love and appreciation for asmr, and it shows in your videos! I love how you're evolving as an asmrtist. It's inspiring to see you growing. ❤ I can't wait to see what you come up with for 2025.

I loved this video! For the whispers, I prefer the ‘softer’ ones too but it seems like there’s less and less asmrtist who actually get that! Sarah Lavender and you are two of my favs, partly because of this. Also definitely prefer eye contact over looking at the view finder!

I literally said "YOOO" out loud when the video basically started with a smooth transition from the thumbnail. Absolutely fantastic job on that and the video. 👏👏

By the time I sit down and fudge my brain with random RUclips videos is usually the part of the day when I finally get to stop and do nothing, and once I do, anything relaxing will make me nod off. So, it's completely normal for me to fall asleep. Deeper sounds affect me greatly. The brush you were using on the microphone is strong, and blocking out part of the frame is a very powerful visual trigger for me and there is no way I can survive both. I like the more stationary camera but moving closer to the camera with either yourself or an object is just fine. Fortunately, I don't get ads with RUclips. It's really the only subscription that I stick with, but longer videos are always a treat because I enjoy surrendering to the experience and after a day in the concrete jungle the more time I have to not worry about time is welcome. As soon as you hit the finger flutters I began to fade and only became alert enough to focus on your questions for the last half of the video. This was a cool one and it's great to offer some feedback. Cheers!

    1. Tapping is great!
    2. Definitely the softer, quieter whisper
    3. Finger flutters are some of the best triggers
    4. No preference on mic in frame
    5. View finder: it depends, each style just evokes slightly different vibes and intensity, but both have their place
    6. Mood definitely comes through, but in my opinion, there's nuance. A 4th wall breaking moment to deal with an annoyance can still come through as very genuine and enjoyable. As long as it doesn't feel artificial, it can work well!
    7. White noise is not much of a bother unless it comes across as high pitched
    8. No preference, it has a big impact on mood but no color/style is inherently better, imo
    9. Background music -- can work really well in moderation, but generally prefer more ambience than music
    10. You doing what feels authentic and fun to you is the most important theme, it comes across in these!
    11. Use the video for relaxation, but never fall asleep directly watching
    12. Brushing on mic - yep!
    13. Length - generally prefer longer, but the perfect length is however long the content/your interest in it demands. I'd rather something short, than something long that doesn't look like the artist is enjoying
    14. Closeups vs far away - not important, both are good
Thank you for the years of amazing content, love what you are doing!

I LOOOVE the focus trigger that you do, when evrything is quite and then you put back the sound, I also prefer longer videos I usually hear asmr to focus during work and it helps me focus more when they are longer. THANK YOU love your content.

Hi Ozley to answer all those questions :
1-I love a slow and soft tapping but not for too long
2-soft whispers i like not soft speaking usually but when you do it it is fine i think
3-your microphone placement is perfect i don’t like it when for other asmrtists it is visible to me (i love a good mystery keeps the magic)
4-I definitely prefer eye contact feels weird to me when asmrtists keep looking to the side all the time (breaks the magic)
5-I can feel other people’s energy by looking into their eyes the first very second so I always know when something is bothering them or wrong so as i am myself very sensitive person i would feel what they are feeling profoundly and i would be bothered not relaxed so yes very important that the asmrtist is enjoying too
6-i live a good white noise personally i love your videos with rain pouring on the background those are my favorite ❤️
6-I also love your singing voice it feels ethereal to me
7-I always fall asleep during the videos and i can’t sleep if i shut down my phone
8-i love brushing on mics when it is slow reminds me of calm waves
9-i love your 25’ videos (i think it is a good ratio but would not mind a 40’)
I Hope it helps i know it is not much but i tried my best to help out with my answers and thank you so much for what you do it sure helped me a lot relax during difficult times keep up the good work ❤️😊
