A little story out of my life to this song I wanna share: The Proterra Album came out when I was 2 years old. I started singing to these songs, started playing guitar to the 30th Anniversary DVD - Proterra was my lullaby. My first concert was in 2007 in Drumnadrochit under flooding rain - my parents wanted to leave as my brother and I were still relatively young, but we wanted to stay. I saw Runrig approximately 15 times live - 14 acts of those in the front row. My whole childhood, my interest in music were influenced so hard by Runrig and I am so grateful for it. I miss them so much and cant express the feelings I have, hearing their music. I shed tears to so many songs of them by now knowing, i‘ll never experience them live anymore. Thank you Runrig. Rest in peace Bruce. 🙏
I think I can feel with you. I can feel, how sad you must be. Your story is very emotional. I cried a lot, when I heard that Bruce has died. I was driving my car and had to stop, because of all the tears that came falling down. But, we have to be grateful for what we had - for what we shared together with Runrig . Believe, Bruce is watching you from up above. Keep on making music ! He will help you getting over the loss. And to feel more and more joy and happiness, while hearing the music. Sad to confess I never heard tell of RUNRIG until the passing of Cape Bretoner , Bruce Gouthro . Now that I have found them, I will never let them slip away. They are the greatest band I have EVER heard. Being from Cape Breton, and 25 minutes from Bruce’s home town, the Cape Breton tradition, and music runs through my every vein, and the coordination of their music with Scotland, is impeccable. My daughter went to her first rock concert gig at Loch ness 'RunRig' and we all went to their final Gig at Stirling.. We have not lost them. Their songs live on and that spirit of Runrig that kept us all there in the pouring RAIN the year of the flood continues on.. Runrig brought out the Best in the human spirit - lets us keep on walking Mo Charaid

My world were cracked,, when I heard Bruce died. They have ment so much to my life. Listening to Donnie in the old days in the start, and continue to Bruce. with a whole another voice . Runrig will be a part of me forever !
What I love about this is we get to see Paul Mounsey . I found his music through Runrig , awesome. I was at the concert with my late husband, so when I hear the audience singing I know our voices are there.
since 30 years I am listening to this great band from Scotland.Now I am living in Namibia yet I have taken all the CD's with me and still like this sound of music.
Runrig music used to accompany many trips across and around the Western Isles over the 35+ years I did taking groups in my charitable work running and skippering yachts. Fantastic music fitting so well as we sailed along, it blessed so many who needed it. Certainly blessed me and still does now that I have retired.
That guitar and fiddlehave me in tears of joy, to witness such superb musicians! The entire band were briliant, but this seems to stand out in my brain! ...........old Tich.
They started off doing a wee gig for their auntie and became one of Scotlands best country dance bands and went on to become one of the worlds best rock bands.
Hear Hear.. and of all the world class rock bands they NEVER forgot their fans.. I always felt that with Runrig we were doing it together, it is that feeling of one big family that I miss the most..
Unfortunately I‘ve started to listening to your music shortly after the last dance. I was driving on the Autobahn and a radio station was playing clash of the ash! I‘ve instantly fell in love with your music. My biggest wish, one very last dance in beautiful Scotland with you guys!
There is No Other band like Runrig! IMO the vocals of Donnie and Bruce are equally stunning! Also Rory has such an amazing voice too! Love the fiddle and guitar solos here, just incredible!! ❤
What a band, truly part of every element of my life since the 80's, Loved both Donny and Bruce, yet for me the most magical moment of the many they have given me was hearing Brian Hurran sing "In search of Angels" proof that music can take you closer to the gods
The album Proterra is absolutely one of their best. The collaboration with Paul Mounsey gave them a newer more modern sound, it introduced a new younger audience to RunRig's unique style and sound. They will live on, musically, for many years to come and are sadly missed from Scotland's live music scene.
Well, they're just a memory...but this song will remain in my heart..a song for Earth and its natural beauties, to be admired and worshipped for free, if we only had the hearts and soul for it
Off to see the Last Dance, Final Farewell Concert in Stirling. Fri 17th Aug . Finally managed to see them live after following 44 years. :) Can't wait.
Seen them a few times over the years .They are awesome .so sad they are retiring but it comes to us all sometime .after they are well rested they might do an odd concert in the Highlands. We live in hopefully

Was not sure of Bruce Cathro as such a hard act to follow Donnie Munro but he was equally as good and love what he brought to one of worlds finest bands 👍
I tended to see the faeries at a certain time of an evening. These sightings had a certain regularity about them, and occurred after I had put Rainbow to stall and then consumed as much whisky as the dastardly Atlantic had flung rain at me during the day. Nah, joking, no man can measure himself with the mighty Atlantic!
Runrig were the best! Was never sure but always thought this was about people having to leave. Not sure if it was the clearances or just things that happened later. Traditional or modern Runrig aced it!
It's Duncan Chisholm, formerly of Wolfstone and he is guesting here. He's a brilliant individual performer and has many superb albums under his own name.
