I bet he's not feeling great but by the sounds of it she has been with her boyfriend for so many years and all those memories and the bond they share over being deaf must be incredible for them both. Gio also broke up with his girlfriend Maura (don't blame him) to win the audience support and get to our hearts. Either way it worked. There were times where I thought he must be falling in love a bit but I don't see it happening Rose,. She even said "when we've drifted apart and we're both busy and never see each other you will always have a place in my heart". I think she really loves her boyfriend, you can just obliterate 5 + years of being with someone
