You're right about the IP+ option. It doesn't do a thing my 7300. I've noticed it making any difference. The "other things" may be bug fixes and the IP+ might be one of them.
I read or watched a video where Rob Sherwood was saying how the IP+ button did absolutely nothing. I bet Icom got the hint and either enabled or fixed it. 73
Icom radios sold in Japan are designed specifically for the Japanese market only. They are compliant to Japanese type approval and requested specifications by Japanese law, but they are NOT compliant to type approvals or specifications of overseas countries because band plans, specifications for type approvals, etc. are different. Given this update is not available outside Japan, I would wait till it is made available on the global sites.

I took the "risk" and installed the FW on my icom IC-7300 radio. Works flawlessly! And the radio performs better. Mine is a Europe version.
With this update, I can now use my 7610 and 7300 with the PW2 SO2R. Awesome engineering ICOM!!!

What about the DNR function? I don't notice that "underwater" effect on the audio with v1.42 when maxed out. 73

You realize the radio in the video is a converted Japanese version right?
Icom English sites still have only v1.41, Mar 2024.
Once the IC-PW2 is released here in the US, they'll have to release the new version.

China or Japan site? I bought a Japanese version a couple of weeks ago and it was shipped with v1.42 installed.

I wonder if the inhibit is used for the SO2R feature on the PW2 so the AMP will keep both radios from transmitting at the same time.
