Just Magic. The most unique, distinctive painting around. So often I see the first strokes and think 'no it's ruined! Wtf are the bizarre colours!?!' But then moments later it's just stunning. Cannot get enough of watching craftworld. The quality and uniqueness of the painting is obvious. But the videos are excellent too. Congrats! More please 🙏
Definitely given me some things to think about and apply to my next set of minis to paint. I appreciate the slower paced and detailed style of videos as well, good stuff
This is something I've started doing with my Malifaux miniatures, I'm trying to keep the same core selection of colours for unity, but they're all unique rather than looking like carbon copies. Great video, love seeing content like this
This type of painting usually feels impossible to me...and yet from the moment the first color hues took their place on the face I already had a clear idea of the lighting, what would be in highlight/shadow (right down to the yellows on the sword and hair!) Great conveyance of the atmosphere in miniature
Thanks so much for this vid. It’s great to see you painting in action. Brush stroke by brushstroke. I especially enjoyed the close up shot that detail your work. Please post more!
I love this video. It feels much more personal. Always inspiring. It was nice to see you work on a personal project that makes you happy. I always love those. Like your orc/half-orc character for your game you play in. Thanks for the imstruction and ideas as always. Cheers!
Instat subscription! Thank you for the video! I´m shocked about the way you paint, look just like (regular) painting, not (only) miniature painting! It opens a lot of posibilities to me! Amazing!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the tips on brush control. You folks are artists, not hobby painters :) inspiring tough also intimidating. How often during the video I though, ah, now it's done... Haha
Thank you for your beautiful art and mindset. All of your work, your painting, your videos etc... have been very inspiring. Thanks a million, please keep up the good work
Would love more videos done in this style using different colors to learn it myself. Really interesting process and thought you were using oils the way everything seemed to blend so smoothly
Excellent vidoe Marco. I'm jealous that I can't dive deep into a game or concepts with my miniature hobby. Love the idea of having a background story for figures you are painting. Gives them emotion and life, keeps your interest, etc which all has an impact. Always look forward to a Craftworld video.
Just discovered your work with this video, this is absolutely fantastic. What an amazing channel. Honestly, you made me feel like I was understanding how you achieve your artstyle and it looks so fun to do I might just get back to painting. Once I get a bit more time from work, I'll be looking into your patreon for sure
Hehe, I know it may appear as not organized. At least, it's not organized to everyone's standard. But, I know almost each and every bit place in any of the bit boxes I have :D😅
You both do such beautiful work that I can't help but wish you'd post more tutorials on youtube. You have one of my absolute favourite styles. The way you both use colors is insane. Are there works that inspire your use of color or have you painted so much that putting seemingly random colors on a model just makes sense knowing what the end result will be?
Hi, thank you. It is hard to keep up with RUclips since it prefers content regardless of quality. Good quality content takes time to make and there is just two of us and we spend a lot of time on painting and teaching as well making new approaches to miniature painting. We are doing our best as it is. Hope people will enjoy and share. Colors that we use are not random, they usually compliment one another. But if we want we can try making any combination to work as long there is volumes and contrast. :)
@@CraftworldStudio I figured as much. When I said random, I meant that to me it looks random even in the placement. They compliment each other, of course, but where I would paint leather brown or metal silver, you will paint leather pink and green and metal orange and blue. It's crazy to me that you both understand color so much that I don't understand what you're doing until I see the end result.
@@ChibsterofNurgy Thank you, glad to know that. We try to explain it trough different lessons, as well as with using different techniques that we created to make this experimenting and color use more fun and possible. Hopefully we can share more here as well :D
Hi folks, does someone knows where come from the skeletons and zombies minis (in the last shot) ? great artistic way to paint, it's remenber me Manet or Velasquez 's style or Fa' presto !
@@Senor_Elegante The bits mentioned on the video are from Outriders and Empire Militia, Old Games Workshop sets. @marco chimento & @DGP2F That's correct, Skeletons and Zombies are from Bestiarum Miniatures. :)
Many people who follow our tutorials and learn from us know what I mean when I speak about opacity or density. Those who are not familiar with our teachings, check other videos, or join our teaching platform. The results of all our students are very visible. So I guess I am understood. I am not worried if there is or isn't thicker opacity (and I don't want to explain this term separately for the comment that wasn't a question). I would say this. This is a very informative video from two artists. Though I am just a guest in this video (and video editor/designer + filming person). I am not a girl. I have a name, and if you listened to the video, you might have heard it. I don't appreciate rude comments, especially when we share videos made to help the painting community. As we always do. Have a good day. Aleksandra
Nothing less than sorcery. The way you use color defies everything I know and yet nobody can argue with the final results beauty.
Thank you very much :)

This is how painting is done in a canvas. Our boy here is classically trained it seems.

Thank you. We were worried it will be too long for watching, but glad to know it's appreciated as I tried to show it as closely and detailly :D
Definitively. Even if a bridge too far, one can take a lot of this

La technique est intéressante 🙂... Je vais tenter de l'adapter à ma façon de faire 😉

Love the music in this video!
Thank you:) I usually browse through RUclips creator library. There are many awesome artists ^^
The lack of organisation of that bits box caused me pain, but the paintjobs and conversions made it all better again.

Hi marko! Love you guys~ Such an inspiration, and your patreon taught me so much
Thank you. ^^ We both appreciate knowing that. 🥰
Thank you for the video!!!
Thank you ❤

very nicely spoken!
Lovely work! I really like the choice of head for the leader, which kit is it from?
Thank you, it's from Outriders :)
Other ones are from Empire Militia.
Really cool. 👍
Thanks ✨️
Is that spaceman in the background of the first shot drawn by Karl Kopinsky?
Yes, we got it when we met Karl in Lucca Comics in 2018 :D
Awesome vid, I liked and subscribed.
Thank you very much 😄
Dude this was a fantastic video.
Thank you :D
I would love to see you style on a calvary type miniature or honestly anything on a horse

You make these old ass sculpts look amazing!!!

No, Scale 75 Artist Acrylics :)

if i recall correctly, they are either from archvillain games or bestiarium miniatures
