      Gregory, happy to help. Any questions about solar pumping?

    ON my install the wires already had crimp on connectors on wires. The heat shrink wouldn't go over them. The crimp fittings were way to hard to crimp by hand. There were small pins in with the heat shrink pieces. Not sure what for.

      Same here. Ended up having to get a new pump anyway and the heat shrink did fit over those. The crimp fittings I ended up having to use a hammer and punch in order to crimp the connectors. Got the small pins also. Not sure what their for either. My new pump worked for a day but now I can't get enough voltage from my solar panels to run unit. Also FYI although the sensors are the same however the panel reads them different. Sensor used in tank is looking for a normally open circuit. Sensor in well is looking for a normally closed condition. Also FYi rotation of pump looking down from outlet pipe is clockwise if you have a rotation problem. I am now having a problem with my solar panels generating enough voltage. Should be getting 42 to 44 volts DC input and 26 to 28 volt output in case you have the same problems I'm having.

    Can we use the wire on our 220V that's being replaced? Thx

      Not with our standard systems, but our Pro like of solar pumps have automatic solar to AC transfer built in, so you can keep pumping at night or on cloudy days!

    What wire do you recommend for an rps 800

    How much water flow do you have to have for this type system

      @RPSSolarPumps  4 года назад

      3in pumps we can go up to 16 GPM. If we go to our 4in pump line we can do 150GPM+ but it also depends on the pumping head as well.

      Do you know the volume of water needed? We have a sizing tool at www.rpssolarpumps.com that can get you to the correct system.

    Eh, just use electrical tape

    • @RPSSolarPumps
      @RPSSolarPumps  4 года назад +4

      You can give it a shot, but if your electrical tape leaks you are looking at corrosion of your submerged splices. This heat shrink tubing has heat activated sealant inside and creates a nice tight seal around your splices when you shrink it down, to minimize water intrusion.
