How to setup Voicemeter for VRCHAT in 2 Minutes

IMPORTANT: Restart your PC right after installing Voicemeter Banana before you do anything else.

Note: To avoid echo remember to follow the video closely and set your audio output correctly in Windows Sound settings. You want the Voicemeter app to be the default audio device, thats why we're setting it up as the default in Windows audio settings. Keep the steamVR audio settings at default too (manual settings). If you do everything correctly, it should work fine as no echo should appear.

Yes, of course. I do that all the time :) In the end of my video you can hear me in my microphone and also the song im playing, so people hear you and the music.

I got everything perfect but in vrchat I don’t see an option for voice meter input I see others but they don’t work. I can hear the music but no one else can please helo

I dont really know why that is happening to you. I never experienced it myself. As long as you select voicemeter as default input/output device in Windows, and also make sure audio input/output in SteamVR is set to manual, and then start VRChat, it should work and show up as normal. I only use the default input/output audio options inside VRChat.

my friends keep complaining of there being an echo do you know why that is

Make sure voicemeter is set up just like the video, also make sure your app where ur friend is talking (discord or vrchat) is using the voicemeter input/output speaker and not the aux thing. If that doesnt help, restart your pc or restart all the apps/games but not voicemeter. Voicemeter should be run before u start anything else. And make sure your windows sound settings are using voicemeter as default too. Hope that helps.

Okay but how do I turn the music volume down for in game? People are complaining that it’s too loud.

use the slider called "music" in the video to turn music volume down (also for yourself), or just use the music volume slider in the music app.
if u wanna hear the volume loud and u dont want others to hear it loud, then go to "masters section" at the right side and turn A1 all the way up, and turn the "vrchat" volume down so ppl talking dont sound too loud. Hope this helps

When you say "vrchat" do you mean in voicemeter, or the actual game? Like the voice slider option in-game.@@erlnite
