The E4B is my all-time favorite military aircraft. As a USAF veteran, I worked and flew on board it for almost 20 years!!! To me, there is no view more stunning than to watch this aircraft come in for a landing. Awesome memories.
How pften do they actually fly? because i'd only assume that they would fly for a reason and training would be on a simulator due to the extremely important mission of the E-4
Lucky you seeing the US Government 747 E4B and then a magnificent C-5 Galaxy, the C-5 is one of my all time favourite aircraft. Fantastic video mate, a job well done!!
Yeah, would love to hear the engineering discussion when that solution was presented. To introduce those extra moving parts can not be desired even though it looks great.
The C-5 is a favorite modern USAF plane of mine. I live near the approach to old airbase where is huge plane once came and went. They are so big and So quite it always surprised and pleased me to see them come and go thanks

On 9 April ago, this aircraft 10-0223 (see at 9:07) was caught fire just after landing at Charleston AFB just from Mildenhall RAF Station in UK. The aircraft suffers substantial damage on left fuselage just under the left wing.
i have a picture of this E-4B parked and the other one on a take off at Offutt AFB in the early 90's. only 2 existed and they were called National Emergency Airborne Command Posts back in the day, now they are called something different.

April 24, 1997: the US Air Force is holding a massive air show at Nellis AFB, Nevada for its 50th Anniversary. Everything the US Air Force owns at the time is on display and/or flying, in addition to some of the very best air demonstration teams in the world at the time (Great Britain, Italy, Brazil, Japan, the US Navy’s Blue Angels and of course the Thunderbirds.) At the time I was stationed at Nellis, so I had a front row view of the entire operation. A C-17 is doing its demonstration, and they land, roll down the length of the runway, stop, then start backing up using the thrust reversers. Being the jokester I have always been, I started beeping...an 80-year old WWII veteran turns to his wife and says “see! I told you it had to have a backup alarm!”
I was 17 and taking pictures of F16's taking off, I was quickly approached by MP's and they exposed my film because that E4B was in the background. At least thats what they told me. I thought I was in big trouble! 😂 Great video!
Really excellent to watch . Probably the best I've seen for some time .This particular B747 E4B ended up in Stansted after the Brussels dept . Not sure who was on board . But great to watch keep it going.
Again a stunning video. Some really good quality from your hand! My favorite is the E-4 as you almost never see them, really awesome shots 😎 One small tip, use a little bit less sharpening in the post processing, the video looks a bit over sharpened 😉 Keep up the good work, I always watch all your vids 💪
Thanks for your feedback 👍 We will check this with the sharpness - since a few videos we use another sharpening workflow in post production. Could be of that... Thanks again!
@@FRAproductions which kind of sharpening do you, normally I use the standard sharpening in the lumetri in Adobe Premiere; if you use some other technique I am open to learn as well 😁 Would be nice if there is some high pass filtering technique available for premiere like the one we use in photoshop 😎

I'm so happy that the US is getting two of the last new 747s being built to be used as Air Force One. Imagine how sad it would've been if we had waited another five or ten years to replace those planes? 747 production already would've ended and we would've been forced to buy something else...I guess probably 777Xs. Not that I don't like the 777X. But nothing will EVER match the beauty of the 747, and IMO it is only right that the 747 represents the USA by carrying the President around the world.
The bump is called the ray dome. It‘s were all the communication and technology is. It‘s has satellite dishes and antennas. So the plane can communicate with ground forces.
You can see bad shimmy damper on the C-17 forward right hand main gear during roll out. Perhaps bad hydraulics led to later fire issue? Edit: Its at 3:16 You can see the upper doors vibrating pretty good
That one C-17, Tail Number 223, needs to spend some time in a paint barn, because, there's a few areas on the forward fuselage, that's missing paint. Also, great job on capturing some of the wake vortex produced by the C-5!
In the comments above, Muhammad states this plane (0223) caught fire April 09 while landing at Charleston. I hope it has been restored since this video was taken.
I wonder what the pitot heads are for on the rear horizontal stabilizers and the reversed ones on the ends of the main wings of the E-4B. They look out of place. Also very large.
The E4B is my all-time favorite military aircraft. As a USAF veteran, I worked and flew on board it for almost 20 years!!! To me, there is no view more stunning than to watch this aircraft come in for a landing. Awesome memories.

Interesting how the E4B's engines sound a hell of a lot like the TF-39's
They do, but I’m pretty sure the E4B’s are the GE CF6 engines.
