Greetings. I love the way you started this video with pictures of you and your mom. Family is everything. Great job. Speaking of Mental illness, that is what's wrong with alot of our countries leaders.Your videos are very impressive. 😎🙏✌❤
Wow you are so smart. I struggle with bipolar, lots of people ignore me because i can get very abusive with words. However Ive been really in tune with the lord and pink floyd helps me as well. We are known to build walls around us . Just like pink floyd talks about. The walk isnt a real wall . Listen to the wall all the way threw. And then listen to it again.
In 1980 I was a senior in highschool, and I actually saw "The Wall" at Nassau Colosseum in New York. It was an amazing concert. That concert was so huge and expensive it only played 2 locations in the US, I believe 7 shows in Los Angeles and 5 shows in NY. The NY concerts sold out in minutes.
I'm 64 and I grew up with this music. There is no comparison with today's music. I was in college when album The Wall came out and we were listening to it over and over again.
Roger is an amazing songwriter and one of the greatest lyricists in rock. He wrote all of the lyrics on all of their classic albums from 1973 to 1983. He also wrote or cowrote all of the songs during that time period except for 2 tracks.
Post partum depression. That happened here in the USA in one high profile case out of TX. The woman drowned her 5 children. I will pray for the woman. Her children are with God. ❤️💙💛
My earliest memories are sleeping on the couch next to My Dad, then around midnight, when my Mama got home from the work I would wake up… And Nearly Every Night a Pink Floyd record was playing in the background!
This song has always hit me very hard I grew up with parents suffering depression so now I have it! That's probably why I adore Pink Floyd all the truly important to me music is the most important we must all love each other like brothers and sisters
You missed the last line while talking, I always recommend having the lyrics available. "Mother, did it need to be so high?" refers to The Wall his mother helped him build around himself. It is an emotional wall, blocking him from feeling or being hurt, but now it is blocking him from connecting to humanity.
She is a lot smarter than you think, and clearly understands songs quite well. She is a very unique individual and it show with her passion for music and compassion with what goes on in the world.
Thank you for reacting to this masterpiece by Pink Floyd. This song holds special meaning for me as my brother and I were left by our mother before we were three years old. Thank god our father was there to raise us both without her. Our mother was far from the overprotective mother Waters described, in reality the complete opposite but here we are in our middle fifties and doing fine. Thank you again for this upload Elok Hsu.
Hello, we are a kids family band from New Zealand and we do a lot of classic rock covers.. We hope you might like to see a Pink Floyd one we have done of 'Hey You' by Pink Floyd. We reckon it’s a really cool Pink Floyd song! Thanks :)
It is alway heart breaking to hear such travisties from around the world but more so when it involves children, the innocense of the world. I am sorry but there is no excuse for hurting or murdering your own children, depression or not. That woman should have given her children to relatives and taken her own life, the remorse and guilt will eventually do her in for the rest of her life, whether free or in prison. That was such a beautiful introduction Mija, your mother is such a beautiful woman in spirit and I can see where your beauty comes from. This is such a beautiful classic song that deals with such a huge monster of depression, I have been there many times over but with God at my side I have overcome and I never hurt my sons or anyone for that matter. Thank you for such amazing reaction always so perfect
Miss E, this is an excellent reaction, one of your best. I have a few thoughts: 1) The intro was bittersweet. I loved the pictures of you and your Mom, but I was deeply saddened by the story of the woman taking the lives of her own children. A parent killing a child or vice versa is horrific. I understand she was suffering, but unless she was completely incapacitated mentally, she should've given her children away. Such a needless loss of life. 2) To me, a parents job is to help their children develop their personalities and talents and help them become productive adults. Parents should nurture and guide their kids; not "suffocate" them. 3) Your Mom is a beautiful woman, and you are also blessed with outer beauty, and more importantly you are beautiful on the inside. Thanks for sharing this with us sweetie.
I listened to album so many times, I'm 63 and this was my youth. The song is about a boy named Pink and his Mother, she is extra protective of her son because his father was killed WW 2 , Pink was 1 and his Mother was an emotional mess. Pink is Roger Waters, this is a true story.

Tshirt of Football? Corinthians (from Brasil).
The "oldies" tshirts. Black and white!!! Beautiful.
Super nice introduction. The pressure is high and it saddens me to hear that news. Very lovely song. Chicago, dialogue, 1972 is a pretty song.

The song is critical of over protective or manipulative mother's, but it is done with effection.
You are grateful 🍄🌍🍄
