It all boils down to MONEY. As long as the Right doesn't fix the problem they can campaign of it. The immigrants who have TINs pay into SS/Medicare/Medicaid but they aren't eligible for the benefits so they are a cash cow. If they allowed a large portion of the immigrants to become citizens then they would be eligible and we would either have to cut benefits (or raise the age) to those on it or we would have to eliminate the SS cap and rich people don't want to contribute the way the people that use the benefit do. So it is all about the Benjamins and unless we start being that "Christian" nation they claim we are it will continue to be a problem.
