It would be actually pretty easy to make a professional phone network over the internet. The software is already there, but of course, somebody has to start it and many people have to support it.

BTW, YOU CAN have a record and have done nothing wrong other than not be aware of situations, not knowing what to do about a situation, being unaware that an aquaintance is up to no good, providing help to a person who you let close in your life who is secretly Evil, or just being accused by some sicko or broken C word. One can also be tested and unaware one is being set up. The Games are endless on both the Criminal side and the Legal side. When walking in life, suspect everyone wants to Con you, use you, Steal from you, set you up for a fall, Drive you away or Kill you. In doing so, you will be 99% correct. Profession or Position means absolutely nothing.
When watching Rob's videos (as I have for quite a few years), I often think of the famous quote in the movie "MOZART" when Austrian Emperor Joseph II comments on a recent score that Mozart has composed: "Too many notes." I'm overwhelmed by Rob's comprehensive explanations and information. I would wish that Rob would employ more examples of everyday life of most users. (For example), it's now becoming more and more common for restaurants ask visitors to give them a (cellphone) number by which the visitor can be notified by text that her table is ready. I am befuddled by Robs extensive explanations to be able to decide what one or two solutions would likely be the simplest one that satisfies my needs for being notified in such circumstances. Many if not most restaurants and bars in urban and suburban locations have public wifi, but many, also, don't. One more thing to recommend to Rob, I strongly recommend the use of graphics, especially diagrams, to distinguish one solution from another, or one problem from several others. Otherwise, Thank you, Rob, for your dedication to teach and give the public options. So appreciated.
Dear Rob I just discovered your channel. Tech is still new to me as I got my 1st smartphone 2 yrs ago. 😄 . However I m someone wired tks to books 😳. I m beginning to feel quite comfortable with my device & I can follow much of your teaching. However I have to get online coverage. I m not sure my protec is enough. Do you provide such coverage ??? I think my phone got hacked . It s slow , does not follow commands & then functions ok.
I haven't spoken on a phone in years. I got a device didn't set it up or put the SIM card in it. I use it as a video recording and making device. I keep it on airplane mode. I disable play store and everything I can to block those connections.
I brought a device only... didn't even come with smh. I use it to listen to youtube Playlist, check email and respond to various thread including this one. Device came in factory 🏭 sealed package and never has had phone number, service or even an smh inserted so yea!!!!
My question is, does the receiver of any phone call via this system get to see a caller number? Because there are many people who will not respond to calls if the number is hidden. My last landline phone had an unlisted number, and people were hard to contact.
Since I went homeless officially in documents and i moved in the forest on a patch of land that i reclaimed after long trials in court i took out the simcard of my phone since i cannot use it because of inexistent gsm signal at ground level not even 911 can be accessed (i live in a burried trailer underground aniway so even less signal) my simcard is in a modem on a high level at tree tops line and since i take out the simcard i was curious what difference makes using my phone only trough wifi ? So thanks for the information and for this video.
I TRAVEL constantly through many carrier service areas that requires me to change SIMs frequently. I would like to know can the "virtual" SIM in use be swapped in & out of use numerous times. Thanks.
There is no virtual SIM. Our service is in the cloud. it is always active. It can forward to another line or email or you can use some app. The phone number will be fixed for you regardless of SIM
Big tech likes hostile takeovers, overcharging and 3 or 4 (yikes) contacts. Why not avoid all that and buy the device only...and don't install the smh. (privacy reasons). It's not like you're signing up for service anyway
Very good video that actual helped me understand Sim Cards. Now taking your video into consideration, why did my phone and internet services provider make a big deal to lock my sim cards to protect my devices and a store manager says not to worry about sim cards because only thing it maintains are my phone numbers. Seems very contradictory, at the least!!??
A phone contains 3 processors - one that handles the calls, one that handles the Internet, and the third one is encrypted and nobody is really sure what it does - will removing the SIM card actually shut down ALL communication with the towers?
Only to the towers you could still get a internet connection via any Wi-Fi because that's just a separate antenna system searching for Wi-Fi signal so if you don't have a SIM card you won't get a direct internet connection like a data and you won't be able to make/receive incoming and outgoing calls
If I have phone without sim using sip client and I want to call my mom with a phone with sim but through her sip app would it be private or a dell laptop with wwan card with sim which is data only and sip client
Could you do a special on how to protect yourself when you are on a family plan and you’re not the organizer or lead of that family plan especially around iPhone
Maybe don't use the family plan phone. Buy another cell phone-- never insert smh card. Just set up though wifi Other than that take the phone you have, remove smh card and reset the phone to clear memory (yea annoying but if you want privacy it's worth it) Good luck I never installed the sim on my new phone (hooray 🎉)
Thanks, Rob, for all the knowledge you offer. Whew! It seems overwhelming, which is likely a feature, rather than a bug! I'm really going to have to dig into this... i don't have internet availability at home. I use my phone for almost all connections. Rarely will i tether a computer to it to process some functions on sites where a mobile interface is a no-go. I'll have to develop a structure on paper and see how many devices and of what type and when/how to use them... aaaaaarrrrgh!

The concept is amazing therefore , can you do a series of beginners tutorials ? My question is ,does my having a regular device and using You Tube have any derogatory effects on my behind tracked ? The cell site network can triangulate your location a lot more accurately than "a mile or less". Because sometimes cell sites are themselves located within "a mile or less" and they need to handover calls from a moving phone to each other. Their actual accuracy for triangulating phones depends on how dense the network radio hardware happens to be. In some places, they can triangulate a phone within just a few yards. Enough accuracy to find which building, which vehicle, or which part of an intersection the phone is located in. If you live in a remote or rural area then "a mile or less" is probably still good enough to find you. If you live in a developed urban area then "within a few yards" is probably still good enough to find you.
I disagree. A phone can self triangulate against towers and get a fairly accurate position. In fact we do that on BraxOS. In our case we use all towers regardless of carrier. But a particular carrier's towers do not have enough data to return a GPS position. Wifi triangulation is used for that. Obviously you can be tracked to a short distance like 1/4 mile in a large Stadium or Times Square but there will also be thousands of people next to you. In theory the next gen mm-Wave tech will solve this.
Wrap phone in 2 layers of Faraday cloth, or buy a Faraday cell case. Protects you from all the tracking, but of course no one can call or contact you until you take it out. But... if I want to travel somewhere, why the hell do I want the devious govt to know what I did between A and B? Also Faraday only thing so far I can see can protect against Bluetooth Meshing, if your phone does that. Rob will have more knowledgeable info on that

I've done that before when I used to live in the city and there were Wi-Fi hotspots everywhere. Worked rather well actually. Lot's of times calls even seemed more clear. The GOV has fake cell towers called Stingrays. Gives them full access to your phone.
In some European countries (e.g., Germany), you cannot even make an emergency call without a SIM card in your cell phone. Too many nuisance calls to emergency call centers have prompted countries to require a SIM card for emergency calls. In all EU countries, the SIM card must of course be registered with a real identity.

Hi Rob, I have a question… how safe are those phone codes that you see that provide certain information about your phone/connection…e.g. *#67#. Can these codes be used for nefarious purposes?
I've seen some crime show a while ago where the criminal used 3g instead of 4g/5g and their communication stood out like a sore thumb on the network since they were the only one using 3g
Going back to the 90's, with proprietary CDMA phones, that you had to change the phone, everytime you changed to cellular provider. That's what 'electronic SIM' means to me.
Back in the 90's CDMA meant you had a Verizon phone, IIRC. Changing to any other carrier meant getting a TDMA phone. It had nothing to do with SIM cards, they were two different systems, like AM vs FM radio. LTE is a sort of hybrid that enables the features of both. SOME factory sold phones, like Google and Samsung, and SOME Apple direct phones, will work on all networks. But if you buy a typical phone from Verizon (unlocked but not factory unlocked) it can still only be used on Verizon. The carriers and MVNOs can all fiddle with locking, but only manufacturer direct fully compatible phones can be used on all networks. (Unless the carrier refuses to service a phone they didn't sell.) Nice, huh?
We got rid of our computers years ago, having to constantly be debugged, restored, etc., so I'm guessing our androids are pretty much scrood? We also tossed the tvs after finding out all the shit that was coming at us. Whoda thunk subliminal programming would get so sophisticated? So, our only smart devices in he house are the phones.
It depends how much you use a phone for calls and text messages. My VOIP only charges under $1 per month plus a very low per call and text fee, otherwise it is a flat rate of around $5 per month.
@@robbraxmantech That's great, if you also have a pay as you go function with a cheaper per month fee. I'm looking at a price around $20 per year that includes all price for calls and texts.
Rob, we saw your phone here and saw you have brave browser. If you haven't already done a video on this, can you show us what settings you have your brave browser set up with.
Interested in making a purchase Like to improve secure internet conn to Home Does Brax WiFii router still exist as a good first choice followed by the Subscription for 1yr Or maybe the VOIP is a best choice Thanks ⛵️
I got a new phone in Feb this year the way it came is with no sim card there is a place to put it but it's empty says it's a. E sim has a place for 2 Sims
What would you suggest for people who cannot replace their iphone/Samsung/carrier locked etc phone for a private one, at least not for a while? How can you mitigate the damage until you can replace the phone? I'm talking about people stuck in phone contracts. People who have a device given to them by their parent, caregiver or employer. People who are just plain broke. And what if you're struggling to financially justify replacing the phone until your next upgrade in a year or so?
Ya know, when you buy something it's supposed to be your private personal property that nobody can make a use of without your express written permission (contract) and pay you royalties according to our Founding Fathers. What if people started sending them bills and fines for making unauthorized use of your private property without permission? What is the difference between the VOIP, and other services you mentioned, and the various computer spoofing stuff that have been talked about to hide your computer?
But what if my phone is de-googled and I have no sim card, and I call someone who have sim card and normal pfony, will I this conversation still be safe for me? Will they be able to hear my voice through my friends pfony? That's a thing
In Australia when we register a new sim phone number we have to provise a form of id such as a drivers licence number. If one doesn't want to be found, as I don't, then we just provide the licence details of someone who isn't us. From there, I don't provide this new number to anyone. No government agencies and not even people who know me. Whej governments need a mobile number I give them one that is registered to me but I only put that sim in a separate phone very occasionally when I'm traveling miles away from where I live. I'd be interested in the service you provide, but the problem is that Australian government agencies require you provide an Australian number.
Hey Rob. Australia needs your help. 3g is being discontinued in October. Only 4g and 5g with Volte activated will work. If your phone relies on 3g for emergency calls, yet still a 4g or 5g phone, it will not work after 3g shutdown. Voip seems an option with app. Sadly not yours though i believe.
What I don't like with current smartphone is the ability of apps and even web site to send USSD command like purchasing services ex. ring tone membership, horoscope, or some news membership. I really wish I can block or delete or rooting the phone to remove the USSD command. I also hate the carrier ability to PUSH SMS class Zero, and USSD push, that show some message with some button (if accidently press) will make us buying something ex. ring tone, horoscope, news.
If you root the phone you can delete the app. At least that is what I come to learn. I'm going to root my tablet over the summer to install apps, if all goes well I will also root my phone... mostly to remove facebook. I hate Mark Zuckerberg and his nerdy cyber-bullying.
@@ElaineGarcia-uo8qj You don't need to root to delete facebook. Just open the developer mode, and do ADB. But I can't find any resource on the web on what to delete to remove the USSD capability.
If they reject, then they want KYC (your ID). So you have to make a choice if that is acceptable to you. That's why they're rejecting. Google though will take Passkeys/Yubikey
@hxhdfjifzirstc894 Can't say I do. Perhaps in my 20s but now I have excellent credit and am debt free. No bill collectors calling me. That's a stressful, shitty way to live.
Ahh I canceled my gym membership and they continued to charge me after i canceled, so i changed my debt card information so they found me for 98 dollars and they have been for 3 years.
I wait for the day they put me in collections for less then 200 dollars so I can laugh. I mainly use cash these days anyway and I hate using credit cards, the gym made me pay with a card instead of cash.
Governments surveillance is not great, no one wants to have their privacy invaded. What keeps scammers from using your service to hide themselves after committing a crime or using it for a crime? Really REALLY appreciate all the videos and education i get from your channel. 😊Thank you so much. But the more I watch the more this question arises, so I thought I will ask. There are lots of people like myself who just want anonymous status for the rights to privacy, but there are also a lot who wants anonymous status to do harm and not get caught. Hi Rob, I have a question… how safe are those phone codes that you see that provide certain information about your phone/connection…e.g. *#67#. Can these codes be used for nefarious purposes?
and what options do we have here in Europe? Is still working your VoIP? Even Prepaid SimCards need and ID to get it...
I tried to give my VoIP for 2fa. But the website needed actual phone number. 😢 I don’t know how to get around it
Hey Rob do you know how I would be able to hook up my old Nokia n95 to work in the Ny nj Pennsylvania area?
I've seen some crime show a while ago where the criminal used 3g instead of 4g/5g and their communication stood out like a sore thumb on the network since they were the only one using 3g
Is a Huawei phone de-googled by default?
Nowadays, at least on android devices, you can use data network on airplane mode, does this work as well?
Rob when I went to your website to get voip service and clicked to purchase the website says no longer exists.
?
That's what it said when I clicked on it to it I even logged into your social community to access the store.
Hello, How do we pay for any of your services?
Various options in the store. Very flexible
@@robbraxmantech thank you
Going back to the 90's, with proprietary CDMA phones, that you had to change the phone, everytime you changed to cellular provider. That's what 'electronic SIM' means to me.
Exactly. That's what it was, and is.
(Unless the carrier refuses to service a phone they didn't sell.)
Nice, huh?
We Europeans did not have any problems with that, as there is only one standard. GSM however everyone had their own analog network.
This is $5 per month.
@@robbraxmantech That's great, if you also have a pay as you go function with a cheaper per month fee. I'm looking at a price around $20 per year that includes all price for calls and texts.
What is your VoIP service provider name?
Excellent information and very educational !!!
Does this work in all countries?
How emergency alarm rings when is OFF and without sim ?
Hi Brax, can i use in the Philippines?
This is a lot to take in. I joined the brax website. Is there someone there that can help me to understand my options?
there's a community there so just join the community chats
Rob, we saw your phone here and saw you have brave browser. If you haven't already done a video on this, can you show us what settings you have your brave browser set up with.
You need to watch my Browser Isolation videos
Interested in making a purchase Like to improve secure internet conn to Home
Does Brax WiFii router
still exist as a good first choice followed by the Subscription for 1yr
Or maybe the VOIP is a best choice
Thanks ⛵️
I got a new phone in Feb this year the way it came is with no sim card there is a place to put it but it's empty says it's a. E sim has a place for 2 Sims
What do you think about Calyx Institute solutions?
We install CalyxOS on our devices by default. If it's not BraxOS we use Calyx

Can this be sold in Thailand. I am from Oregon but have lived in Asia for 20 years.
I know you said you needed to explain things first but I really would have loved to hear the benefits initially.
10:59 starts to list benefits. I put it here to not detract (easily) from folks getting the full picture.
Thank you Rob 😊👍
Can you do mobile data too
Does it work if you don’t have WiFi service?
What would you suggest for people who cannot replace their iphone/Samsung/carrier locked etc phone for a private one, at least not for a while?
How can you mitigate the damage until you can replace the phone?
I'm talking about people stuck in phone contracts. People who have a device given to them by their parent, caregiver or employer. People who are just plain broke.
And what if you're struggling to financially justify replacing the phone until your next upgrade in a year or so?
You can start using a Virtual Phone for $60 a year without changing equipment
IS this available for MacOS?
Works on any OS
Hi, love your content. Could you make a video how hackers spoofs the sms and caller ID?
Are these ships drive-by-wire?
App is not working right on iPhone 14 Pro Max, won’t keep login screen open.
All our phones are VoLTE capable because that is the minimum requirement in the USA for YEARS.
Shorter videos and on point in line with topic please
what you mean no sim? i have tmobile and no sim regular phone already they called it eSim
No eSIM no nothing
@@robbraxmantech maybe the radio part of the smart phone has a back door that responds to back door IMEI command ?
@@ElaineGarcia-uo8qj
You don't need to root to delete facebook.
Just open the developer mode, and do ADB.
But I can't find any resource on the web on what to delete to remove the USSD capability.
Mr braxman, do you have one of those phones that will work in European countries?
Our De-Googled Pixels will work anywhere. But the virtual phone service is US/Canada only at the moment
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
What is the best way to work around a web site that rejects voip numbers only accepting non voip numbers?
If they reject, then they want KYC (your ID). So you have to make a choice if that is acceptable to you. That's why they're rejecting. Google though will take Passkeys/Yubikey
Rob can you break down the patest federal raid on a phone app. Link is below
Do you offer a private and protected email service ?
Yes
9:35 well, that woke my whole house 📳😮🤨
is eSIM safer than physical SIM ?
I would use Braxton voip to avoid bill collectors lol.
Or.....you could pay your bills. Just saying.
@@Chris-0113 Eh, they call even for bills you no longer owe them, but I'm sure you know that.
MySudo, iPhone, no sim, internet hotspot, still figuring out maps
Governments surveillance is not great, no one wants to have their privacy invaded. But all this round about is also dangerous too...isn't this teaching scammers ways to stay anonymous from both us and the government? What keeps scammers from using your service to hide themselves after committing a crime or using it for a crime? Really REALLY appreciate all the videos and education i get from your channel. 😊Thank you so much. But the more I watch the more this question arises, so I thought I will ask.
As a provider how do you protect yourself and your user from other user who have bad intentions? Is there a way to make sure the users who sign up and use your service or even your employees wouldn't abuse the platform? There are lots of people like myself who just want anonymous status for the rights to privacy, but there are also a lot who wants anonymous status to do harm and not get caught. What is being done about that for such a tool as the ones VPN provider offer?
