- 5-D Coaster Concept
After a few months with this project postponed, I decided to ''develop'' (needs a lot of r&d still) this concept.
I used the basic measurements of the 4d train, and that brought me some inconveniences such as that people taller than 1.85m cannot ride for safety (Human models of the train go from 1.65 to 1.85).
Each car on the train needs a cpu and the track sensors indicate when to activate the programmed rotation. In case of desynchronization or error, the rotation will return to the safety position (original). If there is any section with the inverted track (raven turn for ex), that part must not exceed + 2gs in a normal situation.

I’m actually speechless, not only the amount of effort to make the trains, but the trains moving, but the model people on the train (who are also moving?!?) and then making four entirely different completed polished concepts to demonstrate it
@David Vitrano i don’t think irl, the clearance would be a huge issue and it’s not different enough from a 4d coaster to spend that much on something like this
My man, you need to patent this shit before Intamin tries to "Hot Racer" it. This is by far your best work yet. You need to work for one of the manufacturers, straight-up.
Well if they do steal it now, theres still some claim to be made by him publishing it. Sitting on ideas can be just as dangerous as publishing them.

This concept is absolutely crazy, but the height restriction would definitely become a problem in most european countries. The average male height in for example the Netherlands is already 1,85m this would mean nearly half of the dutch male population would be unable to ride this coaster because of safety reasons, which would be a bummer. Aside from the limited height this concept looks absolutely insane and the work put in to it really shows in the way the cars look and the switches and flips are executed!
they could make it limited so it doesnt go over you
I think that if this was a real thing, they'd build the trains to make sure that anyone within a normal height range could ride it.
exactly im 1,96 and already struggle to get on some rides with a height restriction of 1,95

I gotta say, I saw the thumbnail and thought it was a joke and thought "this looks dumb", but wow, I'm glad to be wrong, this looks so fun. Another idea is that you could not only have endless layouts and rotations, but you could even run different intensity programs for rotations per train. Have a mild train and a crazy train running at the same time. Or even have different sides give different rides.
The amount of effort you have put into this is absolutely insane! Great job as always and stampida needs rmc.

I seriously don't even have words for this model. It looks so good that I find it hard to imagine we won't see it become a reality in the next decade or so. The forces on this would be weird, but I seriously want to know what it would be like to ride in person. Seriously... Congratulations on the work you did with this. It's insane!
Incredible concept. Looks very marketable too, if I owned a coaster manufacturing company I would take this idea up for sure.

Neat Idea. Not sure if you would be willing to slice the capacity in half, but swapping out one of the sets of seats for a weight may solve the max height requirement issue

When I saw the title I thought it would be a 4d cars on spinning coaster trains, but this is way crazier than I could have imagined!

Great video! I would like to see more 5D or 4D coaster sun the world with different layouts. The only thing is, I also don’t want there to be. SFMM is my home park and has one of the most unique coasters in the world. It’s kinda the crown jewel of the park. Wouldn’t want to see it thrown to the side.

This is awesome but I think the trains and coaster would be first produced by S&S because they make a bit more weirder coaster than other manufacturers sometimes and I'm pretty sure they sell replacement parts for arrow coasters so they might have blueprints to maybe get some info on how to make the coaster and then they could add their own things to make it better

Very cool idea and great execution! Sadly I think this would be very tricky mechanically as it is even more complex than the existing 4D Coasters which are problematic already. I'm not sure if the advantage of having 2 rows rotate around each other instead of each row rotating on its own makes up for the added complexity and especially the added weight on the arms which would probably make it swing and vibrate more than existing 4D and Wing Coasters already do. However, I don't wan't to shit on your work in the slightest, the presentation is top notch and you really put in thought and effort which clearly shows :) Very excited to see what you come up with next.
Yooo my man zampano here🙌! I have to confess that the name 5D means 5Days (of the week out of service for maintenance😂😂) Absurd at the moment due to the technical complexity and the out-of-market price. But I can imagine in the next 10-15 years someone like Zamperla doing a similar concept with bigger trains and track, maybe with a Disk'o style footprint🤔😋.

while it's a cool concept there are some major issues like the turning radius and the method to actually rotate the seats. Probably the best way to make this coaster more feasible would be to take out the current seating arrangement and instead go with a two sided seats, like this you can keep the capacity, gain more turn capabilities and make it easier for whatever system it would use to rotate the seats. Also were you thinking of a more controlled spinning kinda like mack does with their extreme spinners ( basically no actual control on the angle but can speed up or down the rotation) or actual control over the degrees of rotation?
S&S is taking notes, while B&M ignores entirely, and Intamin will bring in "Zacpsin 3.0" (nobody ever bought a 2.0) that'll get ignored. We need this kind of innovation like S&S is after with the axis coaster like this 5-D concept and restoration, not more RMC conversions or parks getting redundant builds like there 9th B&M that does nothing the other's don't, etc.

What mechanisms are responsible for the rotation of the two spinning rows of seats? For instance, rides like X2 have a second track rail where distance between the primary trail rail determines the rotation of the seats. Perhaps there is an internal mechanism not displayed in the video. Or maybe the spins are truly free-spins not controlled by any mechanism? Also, would this constitute 5D considering the rotation of two rows replaces the individual row rotation in 4D coasters, or would this concept be new variation of the 4D coaster? Very interested in this beautiful design!

Love this concept, only the turning radius needs to increase. 1.85 is way to low as a hight ristriction.
