Big wave beach was painful. While you could use a lot of other plants to get through some of the levels, (Infini-nut's shield is a GODSEND 100% of the time) the conveyer levels and stuff were some of the worst to deal with in the game.
Back in my days I played all the maps in order and thanks to ghost pepper. She’s been a boon and a blessing plant since Halloween. I’m glad she helped me defeat most of the zombies

Bro. Just either use Magnifying Grass + Sun Producer spam (preferrably Primal Sunflower), Rotobaga and Infi-Nut. Rotobaga can be planted over the water without a Lily Pad, and Infi-Nut's Plant Food blocks Fisherman hooks. Makes Big Wave Beach a fucking joke
That's why you want to stall first so you can set up your sun production by just slowing zombies down without killing them so waves don't start as quickly

Back in my PvZ gameplay ultimate battle existed, you used to get rich in the canon mini game, the matching game exists, you got all the keys after the first gargantuar fight, and all the premium plants were either in a pay wall or gems.
You know what I find funny? - Big Wave Beach's mechanics in concept are fine, but the World gets criticized because the level design is hot garbage. - Frostbite Caves' mechanics in concept are painful, but the World gets overlooked because the level design is piss easy.
it also helps that the mechanics and plants in frostbite caves are explained and used far better than in big wave beach. big wave beach's plants are: lilly pad, tangle kelp, bowling bulb, banana launcher, and guagadile. all of them (besides lilly pad) are either annoying to use, improperly explained, or dont fit the world at all. im not doing gemiums or premiums, and neither will i use upgrading. Tangle kelp is very annoying to use, as it can only kill 1 zombie at a time and usually targets the wrong zombie. this means zombies it should counter (octo/fisheran) might get away to torture you for longer. Bowling bulb doesnt fit the world at ALL. literally anywhere else you can use them allows them to work correctly, whereas here they dont get the room to shine (literally, it cant be planted how it wants) Banana launcher gets unlocked WAY too late, which is a shame cause it would fix most of the problems we get with fishermen and octopie. and guagadile is not good as a shooter, being way better if used as an insta. they're also used in very annoying ways against you. both octo and fisherman zombies are explained poorly, and are given very little in the way of countering them. only piercers (laser bean) can even hurt/remove them consistantly, and their effects are also given little counter. either requiring certain instas to fix the problem, or requiring a very specific plant's plant food to prevent. both of which dont come cheap. inversely: frostbite caves explains all its mechanics well, and gives you multiple solutions to deal with them.
The best way to beat BWB is to unstrategically strategise. Magnifying Grass + Primal Sunflower spam should do the trick for earlier levels and levels that don't have sun spending limits, otherwise use Infi-Nut's plant food + Lightning Reed spam
Remember that guacodiles didn't count as losing a plant when it's getting eaten by zombies back then. That plant was truly op in "don't lose more than ... plants" levels
bwb is the embodiment of suffering barely able to get through without grinding levels or emptying pockets for powers/premiums either way you end up with less gold

Infi Nut's PF can completely negate Fisherman's hook rendering them useless as well as provide device across all 5 lanes, and Rotobaga can be easily spammed and can be planted on water tiles without Lily Pad. They make BWB significantly easier, sometimes making it an absolute joke.

I decided when playing through adventure mode I would try and beat all the levels without using a lawnmower. I did manage to do it but big wave beach was definitely the biggest challenge especially the bowling bulb levels! The gargs would not die!
I agree with this and the music are in the right spot and the editing. At the end, I agree with spongebob. All in just one level. Low Tide, Octo, Fisherman, Gargantuars, level 30. Nice. And the locked modern day is cool because they haven't finished bwb. The Octo dodging and the Day 30 is cool editing.

I specifically made sure all the plants I was using had Zen Garden booster and it still did nothing from preventing the fishing zombies from reeling them underwater. I would've been stuck there forever if I didn't watch tons of ads to have hundreds of thousands of coins stocked up so I could get through that entire level using the powerups alone. I don't know how it didn't click at that time how bad Free-2-Plays really are.

This world felt so cheap and frustrating. I played this game eight years ago and I still remember how horrible it was. I bought a couple of premium plants just to alleviate the pain... and to be reunited with old plant friends locked behind a paywall.
I honestly have the secret: powered-up infi-nut in the 3rd lane from home, and rotobaga swarm. I've reached lvl 200+ on endless with this simple strategy.
Part 1 of this world and the first eight levels of Part 2 are just decently hard, but everything from Day 25 onwards feels like a neverending game of Dark Souls.
Beat the level with less than 1 plant, produce atleast 9900 sun and never spend more than 25 sun Probably beatable using max level solar sage + imitator tho
