- The Ptolemaios 2, damaged by the Innovators' attack, descends to Earth. Now separated from his comrades, Setsuna searches for the Ptolemaios 2. But instead, he finds Ali al-Saachez and his Arche Gundam waiting for him.

20:52 When I first watched this episode I was really mad at this scene. But years later it became one of my favorite clips of the entire series.
Setsuna for the first time realized there is something more in his life than just fighting. He actually changed from someone who only believed in strength and fought through everything in his way, to the man that understands that there are ways better than wars that could solve conflicts. And this gave him a better purpose and guided him the way or the ending he would choose later in the series.
The way it shows the growth of each character is just fascinating.

It was one of the worst moments to learn that. Setsuna still kills enemy soldiers without any guilt but there's always some coincidence to save Ali from Setsuna.
@@komangjayabhaskaramahatya7594 Same it made me angry as well, but on the other hand it does show that Ali Al Saachez isn't a threat to Setsuna's 00 Raiser once he gets serious, unlike in the first season where he was a constant threat to the celestial being team. At this point no one could really defeat Setsuna in a 1v1 except Ribbons.
Even after after all these years, "Tomorrow" by Marina Ismail still resonates to this day...

The hate for Marina in this episode is just stupid, she didn't know Setsuna was in the area or knew that you can communicate through GN particles.
Not to mention that after this Setsuna learns the importance of understanding a person first to prevent conflict, something very important in Awakening of the Trailblazer.

Actually, the bullet itself wasn't the issue.
It was a set of specially made handgun rounds that were coated in a layer of unfiltered, low purity GN Tau particles, which is toxic even with just a small amount.
The red first Gen drives are leftovers from the GN-X's and the Thrones' first production run, except for the Arche's, which were basic replicas due to the first gen's higher energy output.
I completely forgot about the 4th opening. Probably my 2nd favorite, and much better visually than the last intro.
the first and last intros are the best ones in this series, at least for me.

This is my first time going through 00 so I haven't seen future episodes, but I can already bet my bottom dollar that Ali is going to kill at LEAST one more major character before he gets evicted from his meat-suit - and when he does it is going to be 100% her fault. This woman has blood all over her hands and she doesn't even realize it.

You might as well blame the double 00 gundam for giving setsuna heightened senses.

What's the order to watch Gundam series folks? I started by iron blooded orphans
You can go right off the bat with SEED, AGE, and 00 since they have they're own story
For Something like Zeta, ZZ, Or Char's Counterattack, that called Universal Century, you must started from the 0079 (Mobile Suit Gundam) and goes up to Victory
Try origin then zeta wing seed double 0 unicorn iron blooded orphans also try the movies
As some other replies mentioned, there are actually different timelines. The one that was most written and expanded upon was the Universal Century (UC) timeline. The others (namely, G, Wing, , Wing EW, X, Turn A, SEED, SEED Destiny, 00, 00 movie, AGE, Reconguista in G and IBO) are all independent one to another (except Wing EW follows Wing, and then SEED Destiny follows SEED, and 00 movie follows 00). The next show that would be released later this year is the Witch from Mercury, which so far seems also to be independent.
For the UC timeline, things are rather complicated, but simply put, there are the canon timeline, supplementary timeline and alternative stories. Usually the canon timeline are considered to consist of the following shows (timeline year, name of the show, actual production year, format)

Of the animated works, I highly recommend Zeta, Unicorn, V Gundam and 00 (the last being the only one not in this timeline)
The supplementary UC timeline mostly take the form of plastic models lines, games, comics or novels that fills the gaps in the timeline. The recognition level depends on the popularity of the work. For example, Gundam Sentinel and Gundam F90 gained popularity via plastic model sales, whereas Crossbone Gundam series made its name with its long running comic. There are of course many more works that are lesser known.
The alternative UC timeline are usually movies that condenses the work of TV or OVA shows into a shorter running time, and they feature slight differences (sometimes outright contradicting to the canon timeline) in the stories, such as the three MSG movies, the three Zeta movies and 0083 movies. 00 and Turn A has also got the same treatment btw.
There are also things like Gundam the Origin and Gundam Thunderbolt of UC. These are considered by many as good shows produced in recent years but they may at least be far too advanced in their in-universe technology, if not also featuring elements of alternative timeline.
Lastly there's Gundam Builders, which is essentially featuring kids building Gundam models and takes them to fight others' models.

Yeah Marina's too much of a c*ckblocker the Arche is cool (I actually like it and is one of my favorite unusual gundam designs) but Ali needed to die here instead of the twin brother revenge type of battle he did on the last episodes of s2
I guess it's a symbolism of how Setsuna already surpassed Ali in terms of both skill and mental trauma. He didn't need to take revenge anymore, he's past it. Ali needing to take the plane hostage was proof that his skills won't cut it anymore - he's desparate.
Setsuna is evolving as he continuously uses Trans-AM with 00 Riser, hence continuously improving and becoming more than human. Of course using this a lot means he starts to become hyper sensitive to the emotions of surrounding people.
To be fair, Ali didn't kill anyone major afterwards. Not to mention it helps Setsuna as a character.

this is the worst episode of this series ive watched so far. why would setsuna let himself be provoked to get out of his mobile suit. also, not finishing sanchez in the end yet again.
1. Because Setsuna wasn't thinking straight, especially with the person who ruined his life standing right in front of him.
2. Setsuna not killing Ali is good because he gets to learn an important lesson that impacts Awakening of the Trailblazer.
@Blue-Code on top of that, blind rage and vengeance is why Neil Dylandy died and because of his error, nearly costed every member of Ptolemaios's lives
And it has been S1 that Setsuna has been questioning his actions, whether being a destroyer is all he could be, could he have done more to change things, because of how things got harder to change the more he tried.
And he was curious of the path Marina takes that also is the same end goal as Setsuna
