Funny I just had to replace all my +10 years lines on my 25ft sailboat and got so much confused over measuring them. I knew I had to come up with correct gauge before ordering them online at my regular supplier because once it is ordered it is too late to later exchange and if you mess up you lose quite a lot of $. I took my caliper and couldn't manage to take steady measurments across all lines, so I took what I tought would be the nearest gauge and ordered them. After having installed them I am still sure some of them are of slightly different gauge than anticipated but it seems they work fine (the issue is not line resistance as they are all above limit but the grip at the piano keys blockers) Never tought that would be such a "complicated issue". Might try this trick as shown on your video next time. Thanks.
