  • The change of season is kicking in now with the temp dropping fast and only a very lucky mackerel or wahoo on the cards with a tonne of paddling in between. It's not all bad though with the tuna and snapper around in numbers. Plus the whales are back! Always impressive.
    I only ever take a fish I am going to eat, nothing ever goes to waste.
    Its awesome to "like" and "subscribe" if your into this stuff.
    Thanks for watching!

    Nice editing. Thanks for sharing. You live in a visually stunning part of this world of ours, connected by the sea, and it's many wonders. The whale scene was great brother.

    Loving your old videos man. You should promote them more now that you've got a good following. I'm sure the numbers would go up on these gems from the early days.

      Hi Marcos, Hope your loving the Gold Coast and getting onto some good fish. My kayak is the Stealth Profisha 475. Perfect for surf launches and about as quick as they come for a fishing kayak. There is a Distributor up at Yalta Called AKS (Australian Kayak Specialists). Dennis is a top bloke and can help you out with questions and demos. Let me know how you go, cheers Rod

      RoKKiT KiT Thank you for your quik response! sure, i came just one month ago but i love gold coast! i´ve been checking the stealth profisha but it´s a bit expensive for me cause i dont know if i will be here more than one year or two.do iu have facebook or an email for contacting you and make iu some questions? what about scupper pro, prowler elite 4.5, hurricane phoenix...? do iu know any? do iu know if any could be enough for trolling? i know no one is as fast as stealth anyway. thank you!!!

      Marcos Vila Sorry for the slow reply this time. I started on a plastic and it did the job fine but it was really hard on your gear, I found I had to replace quote a few reels so the money you may save can be eaten up that way. When launching through surf the centre hatch is ideal. Once through the break any of the plastics will be fine for trolling but you may be able to find a good second hand Stealth for around the same price. either way anything that gets you out on the water :)

      RoKKiT KiT Finally i ve get a cheap, fast and light scupper pro for the beggining. fishing tackle is not a problem. i would like to get any tips from you, such as where to find live bait, lures that works better over here...if you prefer we can speak by email(private) marcos_checa4@hotmail.com any advice will be very useful for me. thanks!

    Do you fish alone?

    • @rokkitkit
      @rokkitkit  10 лет назад

      Hey Carl, I say about 80% of my trips are done alone, a lot of the time I see regular guys on boats and Kayaks out on the water. Its hard to find people that have the same schedule or are as keen to go so you just end up ring solo. I quite enjoy the time by myself and even when you go with mates you tend to lose each other chasing the fish around. I must admit through it is really good fun when you have a big bunch a guys all launching at the same time, especially when the surf is up :)

      I live in North Carolina just off Topsail Beach and its really hard to catch kings less you go 10 to 15 miles out. I do paddle out alone up to 2 miles but I feel real uncomfortable going that far out alone, especially paddling :-)

      Thanks mate! The camera on my chest is an iPhone 5. It's in an optrix case that has a wide angle lens on it so it gets some pretty good footage, plus I can make calls and use apps which is pretty handy.

      RoKKiT KiT Hi Rob, thanks they look great, but unfortunately I have an android phone. Have you seen the speargaff that the Hawaii kayak guys use - wirks lik an ichi spike and hills fish instantly if speared in the head, thus avoiding all that thrashing of Spanish teeth and apparently it also stops meet from seizing up and tatses much better. Maybe I'll see you out there one day depending on if Santa comes, otherwise I'm limited to the calm water. Keep posting those videos, that way I can live vicariously.AV
